Homemade Pozole.
We freeze leftover various smoked meats over a few months, then make pozole.
This time it was tri-tip, turkey, lamb leg, and some Costco NY strips that were super tough originally.

Pacific halibut from the dock. Caught this morning, and 5 lbs of fillets cut right in front of me on the boat. Possibly the best halibut I've ever had. Freezer is now stocked as well. Last years local catch was scarce, expensive, and soft/mushy textured. Not so good.
Pan seared halibut with garlic butter drizzle.
Farmer's market steamed broccoli.
Corn on the cob.
I'll figure out photos again one of these days.

Sports event:
bowl of round tortilla chips
post-event at home:
salami & Swiss on toasted arizmendi baguette
Trader Joe’s Hawaiian hickory chips
I will probably have a big ramekin of nuts.

I found this at the bottom of the freezer, a place I haven’t been until recently as I continue to empty it.
I plan to do a stir fry. I have broccoli, green onion, carrots, bell pepper. I will add cauliflower fried rice on the side.
Edited to add: it came out nicely. The chili oil added a kick without being too much. I fried the riced cauliflower in sesame oil - one of my all time favorite flavors.

Tonight's dinner, accompanied by a Boxler Sylvaner and a mostly syrah Rhone of which I don't recall the vintner.

Those tomatoes might have been the best bites of the night.

I don't like our State Bird, so they subbed a piece of Salmon on the same set up. (There was also a veg option to sub.)

That tuna certainly wasn't from a can. And those peppers had names earlier that day before they sacrificed themselves for the plate.

Who knew that plum ice cream could taste so good? I know. The almond cake that was soaking it up.
