The browser on my home computer was just upgraded to IE 9, and for some reason DL.com is no longer functional. I called the DL web folks and they said that there were some issues with IE 9, would look into it and get back to me (has been about 2 weeks now).

The main issue I have is that when I'm on the main booking screen/home page, after I enter the airports and dates and hit enter, it clears all the fields and takes me back to the main booking screen/home page. I also have Firefox that I barely use, but for some reason there are no issues when using Firefox (on the same computer). Is there anything I can do so that DL.com will work with IE 9? Should also mention the situation has gotten worse. When I first got IE 9 I could enter the information above, but when I would try to scroll through the results, the results would vanish and I would get a strange statement on the screen. I'd also note that I have not had any problems at all with other websites since getting IE 9.

The last two itineraries I have flown have had this exact same problem. I booked on Delta.com, made sure that "Request Upgrade" was checked, and checked that it was showing "Upgrade Requested" on My Trips. I am Silver Medallion so I don't check back for the upgrade until 1 day before the trip.

Both times, I check back at Delta.com to see that the flight is now showing "Upgrade Eligible" instead of "Upgrade Requested".
One more data point. I just became FO today, checked my 9 upcoming trips and 8 of them had upgrades requested. One of them did not. No rhyme or reason it seems.

Is it possible that you are flying something that doesn't have First Class?

In that case, wouldn't it say 'upgrade unavailable'?

mudpuppy, I have seen this periodically on reservations booked as FO/GM when there was no medallion level change affecting the trip. At least a few of the times where my upgrades weren't requested, the request was there when I booked and later disappeared.

Regardless of whether the upgrade was never requested or an IT glitch dropped you from the upgrade list, a tweet to @DeltaAssist with your PNR requesting your upgrades will fix this in only seconds.

This is a good PSA/reminder for us all to double check all itineraries at 6/4/2 days out (depending on medallion level) to ensure we don't miss out on a window upgrade and end up having to hope for the best at the gate.

Correct, several of my flights are on RJ2s with no upgrade possible, but these particular flights did have FC available but no upgrade requested.

Thanks for the tip, I already tweeted for an hour+ today with @deltaassit fixing three different trips with broken connections due to schedule changes. I will put in the upgrade request with them as well.

Trying to do multi-city RDU-JFK and JFK-SFO yesterday. Every time I'd select the flights I wanted it would give me a "One of more flights have just sold out" error message.

3 auto emails for one cancellation, with three different case numbers

I cancelled one flight ticket online.
Got two request for refunds (for the same flight, at the same time 06:38EST) with different numbers, and then a third auto confirmation of an email I did (not) send to delta CC re: refund request for the same flight.

Aside of having now three different case ### I need to follow, it is also counted in the system as three contacts. Given that I learned that DL monitors and follows closely how many times a client contact about each ticket, it also penalizes me, as a client, as I have never contacted delta on that. I did it right- I applied through delta.com to reduce your burden, using the automated system.
It does make me concern and annoyed. What is the point of an automated if it generates multiple records for the same activity?

Using Firefox with AdBlocker makes delta.com almost invisible.

Is there some reason the second largest airline can't get a decent IT team that would lead to better revenue?

I have AdBlocker on Firefox and Chrome, and delta.com works just fine on both. Perhaps your AdBlocker settings are wrong?

Can't Buy Ticket -- "unable to display page. Try again later."

ETA: Please ignore: I figured out the problem.

I've been trying to book a flight for the last three hours, but keep getting this message after I hit "Submit."

Anybody else having this problem today?

I was in the middle of researching a reservation I need to make in October. All of a sudden every flight says No Upgrade Possible. It's for a BWI-DEN flight I make at least twice a month. I'm GM, all aircraft had free seats in First. Any thoughts

apply for a refund

Now this is funny. I guess Delta does not want us to get a refund ever. Start here:

http://www.delta.com/traveling_check...nges/index.jsp

Click on the link:

http://www.delta.com/onlinerefunds/s.../OnlineRefunds

Refundable Tickets

You may change your ticket without paying a change fee provided all fare and ticket rules are met and seats are available. If you do not wish to reschedule your travel, you can apply for a refund.

Any you land on the page:

Ahhh, yes just booked a flight with a companion cert, and the lovely website won't let me change to the EC seats. Sure, I can select the seats, but when trying to save them it just sits there churning and churning and nothing happens. Tried this on two browsers and on different computers with same result.

canceling award ticket, small time display error

When canceling an award ticket (the screen that appears after clicking "Cancel Flights" in the itinerary view for the trip), the arrival time for the first flight shows up at "null".

Seat assignment functionality online occasionally breaks, seemingly randomly (at least for me), and has been an issue for a few years now. I don't pretend to know the underlying cause, but it is pretty sad that it is one of the most basic functions of an airline website and DL can't seem to keep it running. IME, you can just try again later and it will work.
