I just booked 3 RT transatlantic flights online and got a reference code and the message to call their support desk. Got routed to India and had a marvelous time with a non-English speaking agent. After giving her my CC again, she said it was declined. I called Amex and they said the 1st time my card was approved. It was the next THREE times that she ran it that caused it to be declined. 3 phone calls later, I got the flights booked, but then was charged a service fee for using their phone service!

Just tried changing my seats on my return segments tomorrow. Even when I clicked on the seat for the flight I wanted to change from my itinerary it took me directly to the outbound segment which was already completed and popped an error stating I couldn't select a seat for this flight (Duh!). Then I go to my actual return segments and it magically shows my seat as unassigned in the selection box instead of my actual seats from the itinerary details. I click back to avoid confusing the system and magically my seat assignments are still there. Ironically if I use the Delta iPhone app I can make selections just fine.

My latest is a booking on the KLM site and what happens when I check it on Delta.Dumb.
After booking the BE flights on KLM Site (which was $500 cheaper than Delta even though it was all Delta Metal), I found it on Delta.Dumb. It did not show up at first as a future itinerary in my list but after searching with the KLM record locator, it showed up with a different DL record locator which was OK by me.
I wanted to change from my Flying Blue Number to my SkyMiles number and tried over a couple of days with zero success. I finally gave up and called the Medallion Line and the CSR changed it for me. After that it now shows up as a future itinerary in my list.
Just another day on the web with Delta.
Cheers

As a newbie to the Delta experience, I tried booking a flight on Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday, and every time I tried I received white screen with the following error:
Request Entity Too Large
A request entity is longer than the server can handle.
I called to book the flight and let the agent know the error, got charged the $25/ticket fee, called back complained about the charge, was told to cancel (free within first 24 hours) and rebook to remove the fee and call tech support next time error shows
, got same error, called tech support who couldn't figure it out and took existing reservation and removed $25/ticket fees.
Oh, and I guess they left off the last letter of my name, despite using skymiles number, so now I have a different confirmation number than my family... due to a letter change
Not sure if the Request Entity Too Large error is common or not

Trying to book award tickets CLE-FAI-CLE and MEM-FAI-MEM. Each time I get the return, I get a message saying one segment just sold out, redo search. I redo the search and the exact same thing happens. It happens for both MEM and CLE. I don't want to pay a telephone booking fee for these tickets. What should I do?

So what's wrong with errors? If programming and data entry staff want to make errors, we should encouragage them to do so.
Mistakes in airline fares are nice! And so are mistakes made by banks, like the Bank of America, whose ATM system error allowed a gambler to receive $1.5 million he never even had in his account. Who needs quality control anyway?

100 MQS Vanished!
I hit Plat last Sunday at exactly 100 MQSs. My account dashboard on the DL website showed the 100 MQS correctly until this morning, when the system picked up the transition from GM to PM. The display now shows my Plat status & MQMs correctly, but now shows I have 0 (zero) segments, with 30 to go to Silver! Fortunately the activity page still has all my flown flights in the database. Stupid programming error.
Does anyone from DL IT monitor this sticky?

If you need a specific flight into Berlin and it does not show up on .com you have to call to book it. A lot of Berliner's have to do it too but usually get the phone booking fee waived.
