I used to think DL had IT issues up until I wanted to check a multi-city fair on US Airways, tried in both Firefox and Safari and there website would not let me change the dates of the 2nd or 3ed flights. One way and round trip worked fine though.

I used to think aa.com was terrible until I started using delta.com more often. I wonder who makes usairways.com look good by comparison?

Thumbs down Maybe one day it will be fixed!

So I recently had a problem with the award calandar! Go figure! You can read more about it here in my blog But the worst part was I twittered @deltaassist the issue and they said it was a common problem! So they know it's a problem and yet it's still not fixed! Really delta? Anyway I miss the old NWA.com there was so many more options for awards and not nearly as many problems plus WAY more award seats for CHEAPER amount of miles!

Oh well! Funny part was I emailed delta.com as well complaining about it and they actually admited that their site had issues too! I was shocked by how aware of the situation they were! Any way feel free to see their respond and laugh about it! Delta's response to their broken award calendar

and if your bored I write all this stuff up at www.whendoublewidesfly.com

Searching by price the only option for a certain flight this weekend was a full J fare. I searched by schedule and was offered the same exact flight as an I fare. I searched by price again and was offered a C fare. I ran the search by schedule again and got this error message when I selected the flight:

We are unable to process your request. Please call the Delta Online Customer Support Desk at 1-888-750-3284 for assistance. Customers outside of the 50 United States should contact the Delta Reservations Sales office for their country. (#101728)
I never feel confident I'm getting a good price from delta.com, my searches for the exact same flight came up with three drastically different prices in under 15 minutes.

I tried again and was able to get the I fare back by searching for an economy fare based on schedule, since coach is sold out. If I search for a Business fare or by price I still get stuck with a C fare.

I think posting to this thread may be a waste of time. The last reply from DeltaWebDev, who started this thread, was December 2009. I don't think anybody from DL is bothering to look at these bugs and maybe don't even care. I used to be a big fan of DL, being a Million Miler, but now I am really frustrated with the hopeless website, especially the pathetic award calendar.

Now when you choose a date for a departure, the calendar pop up does not close by itself. You just have to click elsewhere in the screen or in the return flight calendar. Annoying though.

My first flight this morning was delayed due to deicing, resulting in a short connection in ATL, I made my connecting flight but delta.com keeps giving me alerts about my itinerary.

The current one is:
There has been a flight delay affecting your trip to Atlanta, GA on Feb 11, 2012.

View trip details and options so we can help you find flight(s) at no extra cost.
Which is a considerable improvement from the original one I saw on my flight through gogo:
Your itinerary has been updated with the new flight(s) you selected. There has been a flight delay affecting There has been a flight cancellation affecting Due to a flight delay affecting you trip to Atlanta, GA on Feb 11, 2012. But, we can automatically rebook you on another flight at no cost. we've automatically rebooked you on alternate flight(s) at no extra cost.

View trip details and options so we can help you find flight(s) at no extra cost.
Does any of this actually mean anything?

I was doing this on IE 7 at work. Now on Chrome from home it works just fine. ^

In my experience, once my PNR is flagged due to IROPs (e.g., a delay that might cause a misconnect), it takes some time after the trip for the system to update those segments as flown and to clear off the outbound warning messages. If you've already flown the referenced segments, then there's nothing that you need to do.

This...is...totally...insane...
I have been away from DL for a bit and I am shooting for FC domestic award tickets in May. I too see low on the calendar but when I click on the dates I only get 80K for the round trip. Even if I search for each segment individually, the low dates still show up at the medium prices. I've made calls and have sent messages and I can't even get recognition that anything is wrong other than my own error.

Now I see why people gripe and take such offense to what DL is doing with this - this is a pretty major turn-off.

Definite insanity...

DL.com Flexible Date Search - System Disabled?

Yesterday my wife had problems searching the destinations listed below using the flexible travel date system. She was even switching dates, still nothing worked for the below combinations. She tried a different inbound destination (not TPE), then it worked just fine, no problem there.

MKE-TPE
MSN-TPE
RDU-TPE
ORD-TPE

This is the error message that continually came up:
Delta does not have any flights scheduled that match your request. Please change your cities or dates, or for further assistance call Delta Reservation Sales at 800-221-1212.

She called DL IT (outsourced) and to her disbelief she was advised that she could just use the date she wants to travel instead of the flexible travel date search option. She then asked for his supervisor (DL 2nd tier IT). The 2nd tier IT supervisor stated that the flexible search with more than 2 connections does not work well. She informed him that the flexible search worked with other inbound destination other than TPE, and it worked just find. His reply was:"that is interesting, all I can do is to file the report to the DL DOT COM for you.". She asked if she would hear from someone at DL. The DL 2nd IT Sup. said: oh! They have no way of emailing anyone. My wife said, yes, they don't want anyone emailing them. However, she gave them her skymile # so they can contact her if and when they get the solution. He then said: OK, if I hear from the DOT COM IT I will e-mail you. She is not holding her breath!

The point of this posting is: Delta doesn't ever get back with resolution. Do they really value us as Loyal Frequent Flyers?

Today the system seams to work periodically with several tries of the Flexible Travel Date system.

Thanks for listening!
