Am I correct that ORC is not a possibility in this scenario?
It might be, since the change in itinerary isn't voluntary.

I have AM marketed, DL operated flights Mexico-ATL-North East, tomorrow that I might rebook due to the current weather waiver.

Am I correct then in assuming that if I voluntarily rebook, I would not be eligible for the AM based earnings? In this case it would be more MQDs and reedamble miles.

If it's AM marketed / ticketed, do you need AM to hava weather waiver in place, as opposed to a DL waiver?

Good question! It's coming up on the T-24 hour mark so I thought that means DL takes over the ticket then.

Was booked on MEM-DTW-CMH Wednesday. DTW-CMH Embraer was delayed a bit over an hour, delta.com gave me the option to rebook MEM-ATL-CMH. Submitted ORC request via twitter, had the additional 110 MQMs within an hour.

Regarding the AM question: if DL reissues the tickets they could/will be with DL flight numbers. I had a similar situation in advance (it was an AF itinerary that had to be adjusted for schedule change Saturday). The DL agent had to contact AF and work with them to get it reissued under the AF numbers. This took longer than having her do it herself but she was willing to do so upon request.

Hi,

My AF flight CDG-DEL tomorrow was cancelled so they rebooked me via AMS and the AMS-DEL is KL coded but operated by Jet airways. So no miles on this one.

Looking for opinions: Any chance I could get ORC or I shouldnt even bother to ask? im Gold M.

Thank you!

You should be able to get ORC for that.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Id ask.
Pre-merger I got credit for a Transavia operated and coded flight that was subbed in for a KL operated and coded flight.

Just to confirn, I've been able to claim ORC without any issue. It has been accepted from the first message and took a few days to post. And it seems to be a rule seeing how this is phrased in Delta's answer:

Since our members are eligible for mileage accrual as per your original flight, I have requested to post the miles as per your original Flight AF 226. As a FYI- they could take up to 7-10 business days to reflect on your account.
Thank you both for your answers!

Not sure if this is exactly the correct forum, but here goes:
Flew DL last Saturday CAK-DTW-SEA, booked into Comfort + and crediting to Virgin Australia (flight credits as W, which is Premium Economy).
CAK-DTW leg was delayed 3 hours due to flight attendant's tablet dying and paper manual needing to be printed onsite before they were able to take off (don't get me started on that one, but the amount of booze served and flight redirections probably exceeded whatever fine the FAA would have levied!).
Myself and my partner missed our connection at DTW and DL automatically rebooked us onto the next DTW-SEA direct flight, but with downgrade to Y. Flight has come through to Virgin crediting as Y.
I made a complaint through Delta's website and received the obligatory cut-and-paste with 2 x $50 vouchers and advising that a refund of the difference would be done within the next 2 statement cycles.
Firstly, is this something where an ORC comes into play (and I should be asking for flight to be correctly credited) and secondly, is 2 x $50 vouchers + difference refund an appropriate level of compensation?
Thank you in advance

(1)- since you’re crediting the flight to VA, it’s VA’s ORC policy that will govern, so you need to ask the question of VA ... start by checking how their bonus for full Y compares to their bonus for W
(2)- they’re required to refund the fare difference (which will probably be on the order of $100-150 each); imo $50 is a bit low for a 3-hour delay but I’d probably leave it alone (my son sat in DTW for nine hours last week because GoJet couldn’t find a pilot, and we’ve so far heard crickets with respect to any compensation
(yes I know there’s a separate compensation thread, so let’s not get diverted any farther from discussing ORC here)

Thanks for that.
Called VA this morning and they promptly credited both the 40 status credits and ~1200 FF points to my account within 10 minutes. Apparently the downgrade was processed into X class by Delta.
Will be interested to see what the refund amount is...will be writing a nice email to the Delta CC line about it now.

Was scheduled to fly MUC-CDG-ZRH on Air France (ticketed/marketed). The check in agent put me on the nonstop MUC-ZRH on Swiss, for fear I'd miss the connection in CDG. I was able to call Delta later that evening and request the original routing credit for the Air France flight, and they immediately put it into my Skymiles account. All they needed was my ticket number. I also received United miles for the Swiss flight.

how much of a schedule change do I need to make a change and get ORC?

Like I have a 23 minute delay this afternoon, my DTW connection is still about 60 minutes. If I change now to a different routing will I be able to claim ORC?
