Just to confirn, I've been able to claim ORC without any issue. It has been accepted from the first message and took a few days to post. And it seems to be a rule seeing how this is phrased in Delta's answer:

Since our members are eligible for mileage accrual as per your original flight, I have requested to post the miles as per your original Flight AF 226. As a FYI- they could take up to 7-10 business days to reflect on your account.
