Now that is funny. I've gotten nothing but complete wisdom from this thread. Everything posted above I DO with PRIDE - with a smile on my face.
I am a DYKWIA and proud. Very proud.
I gave up 3B for 4D on a recent flt - so two honeymooners could sit together in FC. By making this sacrifice, I got my second choice of meal. That was my good deed of the year. (Kidding that this was my best good deed).
My best good deed this year was turning in a wallet at the Four Queens Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas that contained close to $5,000. It was so full of credit cards and cash - it barely closed. Reward for being the nice guy -ZERO.
Next time - - I'll still be the nice guy.
I saw a guy yesterday at a ticket counter (not DL) raise total hell. The agent called the cops and he was walked off by the cops. This all happened within about 5 minutes. Perhaps he was smuggling drugs or he was an A-Hole. I have no idea - but he was gone in the back of a squad car very fast. The agent gave a big to the cops.
(This was in the USA).

Just completed reading every post in this thread, it took me several weeks but I did it! Now what?
I almost feel empty inside and yearn for more. I'm almost wishing there is an episode on my last flight of the year (coming up next week) just so I have something "good" to post.

I use a backpack and a smaller bag for ipad, headphones, etc. and I take the backpack off and carry it into the plane since it is my overhead item. Much easier to get it off before the gate door than in plane.

Keeping it Classy in First
I needed to be in Los Angeles, the Delta schedule worked better, it was paid J, and I had already achieved whatever status I was going to get with Star and OneWorld, so yesterday, I made my fourth-ever Delta flight.
On the plus side - the on-board entertainment system appears to be leaps and bounds ahead of whatever CO/UA and AA/US are offering these days.
On the downside - I hit the lottery jackpot in terms of the clientele in first. The guy in 2A was beyond obese, and wearing a dirty sail cloth that may have been a T-shirt. Untucked, dirty and slightly stained.
Hey - I'm hardly a paragon of class, myself. I just came off a TPAC from Australia, so I'm sure I look like a hot mess myself, right?
Then the guy on 3A got on. He was wearing, perhaps best described as Yoga pant knickers, and a white, dirty, wife-beater style tanktop. Which was not covering some of his open sores.
His traveling companion was... 'eloquent' in her vocabulary. There are lots of different types of cuss words I didn't know existed.
I fell asleep during the flight from Los Angeles to Minneapolis, but when we landed, local police were the first ones on board. They promptly walked into First and said "Who's in 3A and 3B?" Everyone else on board promptly pointed them out. They got the privilege of being the first ones led off the plane.
The moral of this story is - if you're going to be loud and rude, don't do it to a flight attendant after you get cut off. Or something like that.
Does anyone know the aftermath? It was flight 2168 departing LAX at 13:05 yesterday (December 14.)

Well, it could also go into one of the FCM threads. Say what you will about non-revs and elites winding up in F for free, but the overwhelming number of them know the drill and know how to behave. When an F seat can be had for a few bucks more than coach, there are inevitably going to be a few people who wind up there who look more like they should be on the Greyhound to East Podunk instead.

Hey, I'm going to assume from this statement, where you question my story, that maybe you haven't flown lately? When the plane stops and that little "bing" noise goes, that's the signal for mass chaos in the aisle.
Fishy? I'm sorry, I was there. Where were you? Oh, that's right... NOT there.

But, I don't doubt your story. I could see everyone making the made dash to grab their bags and deplane as soon as the aircraft stopped. In fact, I've been noticing that more and more, people are unfastening their seat belts before the "ding".
