Years ago (& I think I posted this story b4), I was UGed on a KLM B747 - upper deck seat. Flew the whole way TATL next to a guy in avg grey sweats. Just before landing, he stripped off his sweats down to his underwear, and put on his business attire! No kidding! At least he seemed clean!

Sounds more like a couple of people wanted on a warrant and the police somehow found out they were on the flight with no communication to the crew. Are passenger lists checked by TSA for wants/warrants?

But, I don't doubt your story. I could see everyone making the made dash to grab their bags and deplane as soon as the aircraft stopped. In fact, I've been noticing that more and more, people are unfastening their seat belts before the "ding".
When I have had either police or medical personnel board a plane in such circumstances that is exactly how it played out. That is why it just sounded a bit strange.

Definitely sounds plausible.

I've seen passengers be called by name over the aircraft public address system to come to the forward boarding door with all of their belongings. They were then arrested in the jetway by police at MSP, where the cop car was parked on the tarmac almost under the jetway. I think the suspects were then taken down the stairs instead of being walked into the terminal and through the airport.

For medical situations upon landing, FAs announce that everyone should remain seated and insist on it. Usually there's a previous announcement of a medical diversion or that emergency medical personal will board the aircraft immediately upon landing at the destination.

Not directly from the TSA. They could have went to the airline and checked. More than likely it was for the reason quoted above.

One time on ICN-DTW, we were about to land and the CA announced that we were to remain in our seats until the seatbelt sign has been turned off as the police needed to board the aircraft. As soon as the plane parked, the door to the flight deck whipped open and the CA quickly went downstairs to deal with the issue. I was on the upper deck so I didn't know anything even happened. The FA said that someone got rowdy downstairs and was hauled off.

I once landed in Sea-Tac from NRT. Everyone had to hold up their passports under their face, photo side out, while we deplaned. Then only the Global Entry folks were allowed to go through customs. Everyone else was held in a room. Never found out what happened or why but I assumed they were looking for someone. Different from police busting on board but clearly they were searching for someone.

Perhaps they were reality TV stars of "Ice Road Boo-Boo Ducks" (or something) and were just having a police escort for their media blitz in LA and NY. Their appearance fits the profile of those kinds of shows.

Have been doing this regularly, whenever I travel Business Class internationally. Remove travel attire and put on pj's with a casual T-Shirt.
Before landing begins will dress up, especially if at destination.

Sometimes after traveling 24-36 hours from an international destination to a US gateway, I may appear to be dressed shabbily/ badly when compared to the other business travelers in domestic 1st class. At that time the only thing on my mind is to get home and have a shower, a light meal and sleep!

Nah ... just a set of pj's ... and enjoy the ride and sleep in comfort!

BTW: Have seen ambien zombies ... both in coach and BE on long haul international sectors.

Do it in an authoritative voice. Pepper in “Excuse me, please” a few times to remain polite but firm. The crowd usually parts for me — as if by automatic reflex — where I can get through quickly without pushing anyone. By the time people figure out what had just happened, I am long gone.

By the way, I only use this technique sparingly. I typically say “excuse me” when someone is blocking my way.

Coincidentally, I was actually eating soup when I read what you posted...

The other problem is not all stations have GIDS.

Indeed. On that note, I'm still annoyed RDU doesn't have them.

I am unaware of any actual evidence that inappropriate behavior has increased with FCM to a statistically significant degree. I am also unaware of any requirements for behavior to become an elite.

When an F seat can be had simply by flying 100k miles in a year, there are inevitably going to be a few stereotypical IT consultants, which is way worse than someone dressed poorly.

Well, if there weren't exceptions among elites, we wouldn't have the "disgusting acts" and "DYKWIA" threads to enjoy, would we?

Just saying that most people who fly a lot or who fly on a pass are mainly concerned with getting from A to B, don't stand out and are familiar with the routine involved in the average flight as opposed to the very infrequent flyer who takes advantage of FCM to upgrade on the basis that the cost more than covers their two huge checked bags and they get free booze to boot...

And, yes, I've noticed over the past year more of those people who look like they fit that latter category in F. Could be the routes I fly/flights I'm on/coincidence which does make it an utterly meaningless observation statistically.
