Morning, Box. I suppose I should find my jacket what with the impending Cold Front of Doom.™

I really hate the PT Cruiser. In fact, there are only two cars I have told Hertz and Avis I will not take under any circumstances: The PT Cruiser and the Prius. :)

I also include the Ford Escape in that list. Nightmare vehicle!

Good morning, box. 5B on CO223 SEA-IAH. Sounds like it's going to be great fun going into OMA today.

RDM only. No EQM.

And I've been having similar dead links on partner earning off and on. Usually just going back and clicking again fixes.

Correct EK only earns RDM, Im still waiting for mine to post.

Honestly, why is Chrysler still in business? How can you turn out so many sucky products year after year and still be open? The only things keeping them afloat for the last decade have been the rental car companies, the ultra sub-prime no credit customers who can't get financed for anything else, and a few somewhat decent truck/SUV products that some people actually seek out.

I wonder that myself. I imagine the Jeep market is not fantastic these days, either...

I woke up the morning after first playing Wii Boxing with two very sore shoulders and a forearm cramp...but I didn't dare complain because I was NOT prepared to tell anyone how I got myself in that state. :o

Purely out of curiosity, what is it that you don't like about the Prius (is it something other than the sight lines?) tjtenor4 and I had one as our rental in DFW - and he's now seriously toying with the idea of getting a used one, as his daily commute alone is over 55 miles and the gas savings (between that and a Grand Cherokee) would more than cover the monthly payments...

I have no experience with the car other than those two days, but I do have a few friends who have them and talk about how life-revolutionizing they are, etc...so it would be good to hear from the other side!

My mother has one of these. When I was car shopping in 2006, I believe she was honestly hurt that it didn't make my short list.

G'morning, Box.

I'm going to LAS for a bachelor party at the end of February. I can get a r/t for $279 in Y or $630 in M-up. I know that I'm unlikely to get the upgrade but still struggling to justify the extra $$. I am, however, willing to pay the extra $20 to fly CO rather than DL. Also somewhat annoying that searching for F fares only shows the Z fares on co.com rather than showing the M-Ups.

$630 is a good chunk of change to pay, IMO. I would take the gamble on the EUA and purchase the economy fare. The only reason I did the M-UP one-way is that I am working a 12-hour night shift, leaving work at 6am and flying out at 9am. So this is purely for sleeping comfort, otherwise I would roll the dice.

Have you checked into UA flights? I saw they have some EWR-SFO/LAX (CO metal) connecting to LAS via UA metal. I know that a mean no shot at EUA, but you earn more EQM’s and that’s what were all after.

EDIT: I don’t think Feb is a bad month for EUA’s on this route. I would say you have a good shot as a plat. I just know from experience that the first two weeks of January are bad because of the CES show and a few other trade shows that overlap.

For me, it's the lack of power and the general lack of pep. But i'm a bit of a speed demon.

I still don't get Hybrids. Sure you get better gas mileage, but the added cost of buying the vehicle makes your ROI 4-7 years. Then you also have the added headache of replacing the batteries down the road and no one ever factors in the waste that generates.

I think I have sussed out a way to get to LPB and Lake Titicaca whilst also earning CO miles (most of the way). Can do the SFO-LIM fare, then hop on LAN Peru for a LIM-LPB flight. It means taking an extra vacation day, but the destination totally looks worth it. :-: ^

I got one last year in SFO - there were exactly 2 cars parked in National's Exec and Emerald sections (an HHR and the Sebring) on a Thursday night. If there was ever a no-brainer...

I had some weekend work to do with one of our East Bay facilities, but I had Sunday off. What does one do on a nice day with a convertible your employer is paying for? One drops the top, and drives down CA 1 to Monterey/Carmel. ^

There are a few of those scattered around. I found one at ATL a couple of weeks ago when I needed a car for the day.

I got one in RIC back in December. ^

For a while, there were a lot of Altimas in the system. That was basically my default ES car unless there was something "interesting" to drive.

Just ended a night of celebration.

Gnite, Box!

I will send you a round back on our SFO-IAH flight, upgrade came through this morning!!

I feel like such a FTer failure. I am MRing this week and have a bag that is way to big (ok, I am traveling for 5 days), I left amenties on the counter at last hotel (3 water bottles - but that would mean checking a bag), and I skipped my free breakfast at the hotel. I Still have the coupon that is good till Jan 31, if any one is going to be in Denver Colorado at the Doubletree on Quebec. Sitting in the PC here thought I was going to score a breakfast meeting with with the esteemed Baglady but alas here flight was cancelled. :( I gues I can be thankfully that I got my upgrade into EWR and that I will leave DEN before the weather hits.

As to the PRG trip. I know have two confirmed guests. My aunt scored on the Hilton 1/2 sale for the hotel there. We are staying at the Old Prague Hotel (I believe that is the name). I need to get the reservation information from here to put in my Diamond information to get my upgrades. :)

BTW, have I told the box how much I like my NETBOOK!!! Thanks for all those that sang the praises. I was actually able to work in 5C on the flight from IAH-DEN. I just love it!!

Off to catch my flight! Later box!!
