I am trying to figure out how to get either Dish or DirecTV with HD and DVR and have it cost less than my service from Time Warner where I don't get NFL Network. It is difficult. @:-)

The tech created a tr:(uble ticket, but can't add my phone number to it. He says he's not even supposed to use the tr:rolleyes:uble ticket system and he has very limited access to it.

I had no buy-up option. My flight is zeroed out. I guess that means you won't be trying to SDC onto it and get to IAH early, eh?

Not your flight, but possibly a connection through IAH.

I'd give you all my NFL, ESPN, and other sp:rolleyes:rtsw channels if I could. I wish I didn't have to pay for them. I heard that ESPN gets something like $4/customer/month from most cable systems.

Well, I think that you have ~9 months to figure it out until the NFL network is worth having. :-:

I can attest to the veracity of this statement - the fabulous Mrs. xyzzy was watching a bowl game and xyzzy was watching his glass of Woodford. I'm talented enough to watch the Woodford and a bowl game.

I would love to have ala carte pricing for cable TV. :-:

How much is your service from TW? Incidentally, TW is trying to change its name. I have Dish Network w/ the NFL Network. I have the silver HD only pkg w/ DVR for $52/month. The DVR is external and I own it. I connected it to my receiver, paid them a one time fee of $39, and I can record boatloads of HD on to my 1tb drive. No monthly fee for DVR service. However, it doesn't have the online features of their other DVR receivers. I don't need those features.

Once we have finished our project, I think I will draft a formal complaint to the town. I just don't want to put a fly in the ointment at critical stages and delay our building even more than it has already been delayed.

If he passes the hole at noon (or whenever he deigns to turn up), then the GC is going to work all night if necessary to get the stone in and prepared for SW tomorrow.

Only the main guy needs to be semi-awake tomorrow if it's a go as he's only there to baby sit. Everyone else will be a new crew for flying in the panels and bolting them together.

the name change as much as anything is to differentiate, they have on the fiber backbone side TW Telecom which is always getting mixed up with Time Warner by the customers, and so they are name shopping both of them for a new identity, and TAX write offs for name change costs of course!

TXU and their gas services, electrical services, etc, changed names at least 4 times in the last 8 years.

once they changed names for a year, then right back to the name they had before with 'delivery' added to the name.

Are there EWR-SEA connections that will arrive in time for the 1:45pm SEA-IAH flight? You'll have to leave pretty early...

Well you have the PA bridges (Gotheals/Outerbridge) at $8 and then you have the VZ at $11, so your tolls should have been $19 before any NJTPK tolls (if you had any).

The other toll is to cross into Staten Island from NJ on either Goethals Bridge or Outerbridge Crossing which are PANYNJ bridges.

That's right. Like I said, I rarely go out that way.

If you sent me a drink from up front, I would be forced to post in the "Sending food back from F" thread.

It won't be necessary-- my upgrade came through, too. :D
