Although i never had a barfer on a flight with me , I did experience someone
letting it all out on a bus after landing in BKK from CDG . It was like 6 am and we landed in a remote area , had to board a bus to take us to the terminal , and the combination of sounds and the terrible smell was awful. I do not wish that on anyone. |

Still, not as bad as Mr. Diarrhea on a 90 minute long B1900 flight over the mountains of Colorado and Wyoming on a stormy night. |

My IAH-DRT flight a few weeks ago had multiple vomiters, due to severe turbulence during the last 20 minutes of the flight. The worst was the projectile vomiting baby in the row behind me that was spraying all over.

Although my life is so typically glamorous , I thought I'd share my weekend plans. MR BL, BL JR, step BL, my father (who has alzheimers) and I are headed to SAT. Day 1 - Sea World. I, of course, will head to the beer pavillion to do the beer testing. I then, will enroll myself in beer school. I will have to ensure I don't loose my dad (I'm not trying to be flip, dealing with alzheimers involves humor and he's alread forgotten we're taking this trip). Day 2 - Tower of the Americas; late lunch at Chart House - cruise on the cess pool; I'm sorry, river walk. I'm going to just try and avoid the crush of people during tax free weekend. All in all, should be fun and puts me over the edge for my 30k MR bonus.
MR BL and Step BL fly on Sunday. She is upgraded with miles - he did not clear as a plat. No seats left. I thought this would be a good chance to ease her into the UM program without lots of issues (IE he's actually on the plane). We shall see. And that, my friends, is my box drivel for today. My schedule has been crazy; my posts late night and possibly a bit infused by drink. Hope it's been a great week for everyone. I am local early next week; MCO the latter part and then the fun begins - OMA for a surprise for my best friend. Then I finally get to see the fabulous new LAS club. Have a fun time at the 'Stros game - wish I was there instead of with Shamu! |
Ugh, I think I've got the dreaded SSSS ahead of me tomorrow. I can't check in online for my CMH-STL-HOU flights on WN until I'm at the airport. So that probably means I have to go outside security at CMH, which I wasn't planning on doing. And I'll probably end up way back in the boarding process now too.

Even worse, I've seen some roach motels get kicked out of Best Western. Can you imagine how awful a hotel would have to be to get kicked out of Best Western???

Ahhh, but must I remind you that Best Westerns here in Europe can be very very nice. I am currently in a 4star here in BUD that is very mod.

Daddy said yes this morning, so that's done. :D

In other news - my worst vomit educing flight was a UAX (prop) from IAD to HPN at the end of December in what must have been a Nor'Easter. We were literally flying sideways. No one said a thing the entire flight. Then, as we started our decent the first guy vomited. Which triggered another 3 or 4 people. The smell overwhelmed the cabin and the FA looked up at me (I was in row 1) and said "I can't deal with the smell of vomit." She then proceeded to vomit herself. 8 hours of "work" until vacation. 1 conference call down. 3 to go. |
Have any of you been on a CHQ flight in the last 7 days? The last three I've been on (CLE-ORD, ORD-CLE, CLE-RDU) have reverted back to the back-to-front beverage service. Seems odd that it just mysteriously started again.
Oh, and this is kind of funny. Last Friday we were flying to ORD, and the partner and I ordered drinks (we were headed to Chicago for a weekend drinking binge). The FA had no idea what either Jim Beam or Bacardi were. Nor did he know what Rum was. He finally just opened the drawer and let us pick what we wanted. Yes... it was one of the crack CHQ guys mentioned above. It was a good thing we had coupons - because I seriously doubt he could have made change. |
