OK, I can jive with the last part. If I was cabin crew, I wouldn't be able to stop myself from trying to make people laugh. But even if you're not to the point of being a social drinker, you would think that the beverage cart was covered in FA 101.

Yep. Totally agree. That's what made it so odd. It's not like there is an unlimited selection in that drawer.... so the fact that he couldn't recognize anything seemed pretty odd.

But he gave us access to it, so we got our drink on, Pearl.

Fellow Houstonian Box Heathens... there will be an impromptu drinking session at The Saucer this evening around 5:15pm. I shall be warming-up my liver for tomorrow.

My head still hurts from going to the Firehouse Saloon last night.

About tomorrow, is it all metered parking by Little Woodrow's?

IIRC, there's quite a bit of non-metered parking in the area, especially along the side-streets North of Brazos. Woodrow's even has a tiny parking lot, but it's usually full.

I'm looking forward to the company this weekend. However, taking a break from travel has got me thinking... can we hold the next IAH DO in a city that doesn't suck? :D

CLE is Houston in miniature, with a better brewery and tilted towards the opposite end of the weather spectrum.

Yep. That is a great place, and I've spent many hours there trying to make it through the beer list.

It is definitely worth a visit if you're in CLE.

:D ^^

We should pick neutral ground. That way everyone gets a flight out of the deal.

Let's make it someplace that has mainline service from CLE. I am longing for a trip on something other than an RJ.

(We are flying to MSY in two weeks, and specifically booked flights through IAH just so we can fly up front in a real plane :) )
