Nope. In Texas! And not in one of those psycho religious nutjob compounds in West Texas either. It's all quite funny now to think about that.

Yesterday, I ordered my new camera bag from B&H. Today, I received a shipping notification around 3pm. If the bag shipped today, it would mean that the bag would arrive here tomorrow - just as B&H had estimated. Perfect! Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the package has even been picked up yet. Now, it probably won't ship until Wednesday and it will arrive here on Thursday after I have already left for EWR. :(

Hopefully I'm wrong and there is still a chance it will get picked up tonight...

It's a big enough crowd you may not even come across those on your :rolleyes: list. The first I even saw Scott was at the Larry and Jeff show and I did't cross paths with him for a chat until the PC party. I did :rolleyes: when talking to him when he asked how the EWR people answered questions at the break-out session.

I was able to score a companion upgrade to first class on my flight out here this morning. 23 out of 24 checked in and about 8 were on the stand by list. I asked the agent to add my companion to the list and she just told me its booked full. I said yes I know its booked full, but it 15 minutes to departure and only 23 checked in. she told me my companion won't clear anyway so why bother. I asked again and asked what's the harm in adding her. my companion ended up clearing.

why do some agents try to pull this crap?

If I don't, no big deal. I'm far more concerned with getting good pictures and meeting the people that I'm interested in meeting, which is pretty much all of The Box.

Corporate told FS Marriotts and Ren to stop staying open on weekends for their lounges :rolleyes: and cut the WSJ. So at LAX, bye bye Ren Montura on weekends and hello Sheraton Gateway. Same basic other services but the tying point is the lounge access on weekends. I understand the economy situation but why mandate to your individual properties what they should do? Why let them lose their competitive advantage?
