You're welcome fine sir.

I wish your winner winner chicken dinner proclamation held through today. I just lost roughly 20% of my portfolio. Looks like ramen for supper.

Sounds like a meal CO would serve however, CHEESE!

Broccoli and Cheese soup with Grilled Cheese, perfect CO F meal.

This wasn't a business meeting. In my job there's hardly ever a "business meal." It's more like we're breaking for lunch, and sometimes a group wants to go out to eat together. The conversation is usually far more social than business related — today it revolved around the details of my move, our loft in Atlanta, our kitten, and one of the women's kids and their new puppies. Totally non-business related.

As for our choice of restaurants, today one of the women said "I need comfort food." The rest of the group was in agreement. And yes, it was damn good. Three cheeses and bacon grilled together on wheat. Very comforting. :)

ah gotcha, those are good meals normally, I just thought wow what an odd business lunch

Bacon!!! The best food ever. I'd make a terrible orthodox jew :)

I was at lunch today (tomato basil soup and grilled cheese) when CO called me with a flight cancellation. 2 minutes later CO called again rebooking me ON SATURDAY! I called back; said no. I changed my flight from DEN-IAH to OMA-IAH and cancelled my beloved, cough cough, Great Lakes flight. So one more night in beautiful pollen filled Nebraska and a longer than expected afternoon in an office I'd like to be out of.

That was my comment. I would eat ramen for dinner, but my body has reached the point where it violently rejects ramen. :td::td::td:

I know you were ever so disappointed about that.

Ouch! I have been out of all but a handful of individual stocks since late last fall. That said, there are many buying opportunities out there now.

Sorry. Lost track.

Funny ramen story. First job out of college, I always kept a pack of ramen at my desk in case I got a case of the mid afternoon munchies. One afternoon I was heating it up in the microwave and my boss walks by and smells the air - looks at me - smells the air again and says "My God. Ramen noodles? Okay, I get the point, I'll give you a raise."

The joke was on me. I got laid off a month later.

I've dwindled my portfolio down considerably while waiting out this storm. But, still, 20% of what I had in my trading account was a nice gut check. One of my stocks completely missed estimates. Like, whiffed. Didn't even make contact.

... and they want to be my latex salesman.

Ummm....no. What beer were you possibly drinking that was 1.5-2.5% alcohol? There certainly are some that are lighter than not, but many are much, much stronger. I cite Belgium as my evidence.

Sounds like a great trip overall.

What kind of beer were you all drinking? Other than the near beer, sounds like a great trip.

EDIT: Sorry for the duplicitous post..

I am thinking about putting some money into WAMU, as hedgfunds are pestering the fed to relax disclosure requirements on bank investments. It seems like it could be a good play if it happens.

It just occurred to me that this must be Thursday. I never could get the hang of Thursdays.
