I like the idea of the 2010 requal idea. However, I also think the BF sale prices this summer are pretty attractive (just over 2k a/i). I do realize that this summer (as in next month :)) would be pretty short notice for many though...

Y fares for MLK Day weekend are pretty cheap though - I guess I could always sweat out a mileage upgrade. :(

Oooohhh...I like that idea. If we're not off wandering in Patagonia that would be a great time for me. Might even get the missus to come along as she likes the Belgian brews quite a bit. On the down side it will be cold there, but beer helps with that. And it won't be as cold there as it would be in the 'Stans.

I've always preferred traveling to Europe in the Winter. It's nice being able to get around without huge crowds of Kettles everywhere. The frozen depths of winter also seem like an ideal time to see Bruges. Having recently watched In Bruges, I'm quite interested in checking it out.

I could be up for such a trip too!

Assuming the Euro isn't at a 3:1 ratio with the USD next January that might work for me.

I, of course, have no idea where I'll be next week, let alone next January - but, I'll stay tuned.

Is that more or less than South Park? :D

We'd be a maybe. I'd have to convince DH to go. As much as he likes beer, I don't know if I can convince him to travel that far for a weekend.

I am a Patron man myself.

I have yet to try Patron - heard lots of good things. My drinking life has essentially devolved to four drinks:

A) Ketel and Cranberry or Ketel Screwdriver, splash of club - the standby
B) Cuervo margarita, up, no salt - simple and effective
C) Frozen mudslide - usually reserved for hot-weather vacations, i.e. - perfect for the cruise ship sundeck.
D) Water Moccassin - full shot Crown Royal, full shot peach Schnapps, dash of Rose's Lime...for when you really don't prefer to remember the happenings of the day that landed you at the bar in the first place.

I don't get along with Jim , Jack or any of the Spanish fellows (the tequila ban is a result of spring break in cancun while in college)
They all send me straight to the toilet or nearest garbage can .

Patron chilled I can sometimes take a shot of.

I'm the complete opposite - I've only driven the bus twice, and from decidedly odd sources: #1 was four beers on an empty stomach...I think I was 17. #2 was an entire bottle of Korbel, the year prior to #1. I discovered hard liquor as a young adult, and thank the drinking gods, I'm not one to yak. I'd rather ride it out anyway.

I've always wanted to get more into photography but I've never invested the time to figure out an SLR.

I'm pretty handy with using manual settings on my relatively basic Canon 650is.

Reference 1, 2, and 3.

It, of course, helps that I had very photogenic material (e.g. the country of Greece).

Regarding Patron - a coworker got pregnant and when she told me I said "if I can guess the night the baby was conceived can I name the baby?" Thinking I had no chance at this incredible invasion of her privacy she agreed. I hit it, spot on. So, I suggested she named her child Patron.

Why? Because on the night in question (we were all in Long Beach) she had an incredible amount of Patron. She didn't end up naming the kid Patron, but that hasn't stopped me from repeatedly asking how Patron is.

(I'm not the father)
