My computer randomly died this afternoon and when rebooted told me that it had overheated. I call our support guys and they can't send someone out until Tuesday. :td:
The computer is running but who knows for how long. |

Pour beer on it.
Maybe we can convince the guy bidding 93k for the HDD that it will only work soaked in beer. |

I'm not a big fan of Anchor Steam, but the thought of a loyal and devoted Keg passing on to the big cellar in the sky does tear at the heart-strings. My condolences in your time of sorrow. Now, to collect the life-insurance (keg deposit) and trade-up to a bustier, friskier model. May I suggest North Coast Old Stock.
I'm in the east and, worse (from a beer point of view), in PA. West coast stuff is not to prevalent. |
I routinely find laptops stuffed in our office freezer. Apparently this is some sort of IT folklore that you can recover lost data if you freeze the drive.
I'm not joking about this. Might be worth a try. Can't be any worse than pouring beer on it. |

Yeah just be sure you've got someone to drag your drunk self home after a night of drinking that. And that you don't have anything you have to do, like work, the next morning.
