It's a little early for that, no? ;)

Happy birthday gbryan84!

I've been away from FT this weekend, tried to break away and spend quality time with the family...enough of that. ;) Looks like there's a couple of possible DOs in the works! Definitely interested in BRU...one of my favorite drinking cities. I haven't explored the rest of the country but can offer up a few good pubs and hotels in Brussels.

Its always after noon somewhere. And if it is before noon I just consider it a head start. :p

Feel free to PM me with info on pubs and hotels and I will consolidate into a single thread in the next few weeks.

Question for The Box: can people in relationships go into consulting?

It is harder to make the jump once you're in a relationship since it dramatically changes the face-time aspect of things, but I think it is possible.

While we're on the topic of asking questions, I was going through some more old photos this morning and remembered a flight that I want to add to my flight memory. The problem is that I have no idea what type of plane it was or where we landed. The plane is this one and I figure that I should be able to figure something out from the registration number (N1047F). As for where we landed, it was a gravel strip somewhere in Alaska along side a river. I figure I can just make it up as a worst case, but knowing the a/c type would be nice. Anyone know how to figure that out?

Time must be found to visit Cantillon.

Absolutely. While it's not my favorite beer (gueuze is too sour for my taste) the brewery tour is tres cool.

The N-Number Inquiry tool is really something that should be in every hardcore FM user's bookmarks. It's a great little toy. ^^

Yep. Bookmarked on both of my computers, as well as my BlackBerry. I've been known to look up registration numbers on the BlackBerry while standing at the gate waiting to board… especially on days like tomorrow when I'm getting on a NW DC9 and I'm just dying to know how to old it really is.

Speaking of which, with any luck, tomorrow I should nab the elusive DC9-40. I've tried so many times to get on one and NW always substitutes a -50. I had two -40s scheduled this week, MEM-BTR and BTR-MEM. The BTR-MEM has already been switched on the itinerary to a -50, but the -40 tomorrow remains.

Yes, but it's not easy. But with a little work and a wiling partner, consulting as a career doesn't mean you're stuck being single forever. There are some people out there who don't mind having their significant other gone several nights a week. I think in some cases it can work very well, especially if you and your partner are the types who enjoy having some personal space. And there are advantages. I travel almost every week for work, while my partner travels an average of two trips per month. Based on our schedules we sometimes just meet in other cities and stay over a weekend for a mini-vacation.

Exactly. The FA on my on my 7am flight looked incredulous when I ordered a pre-flight beer. As far as I was concerned, it was 11:30pm at that point :D

About time - you've been griping about that for months :D. I got lucky and snagged one on ATL-DTW nearly a year ago. Just finished adding the A346 to my list this weekend - fantastic aircraft. The tail-cam view of the plane flying over the Namib Desert was sweet.

Also, happy belated birthday to gbryan84!

;)

If it makes you feel any better, I've run out of intriguing mistake fare/insane itineraries for the foreseeable future. Will be plying IAH-MFE on Friday in an ERJ :D

Much obliged, and now bookmarked on mine as well.
