I think the key is to go with what you think will be the most memorable for her (for you too) - a spot that has some sort of significance to the time you have been together.

Good idea. I could also not include this trip at all. No clue what to do...

And you're thinking the RJ isn't it?
We are doing my family's Christmas in FLL. Could go on the beach then. |

Hmm - the WC agent just announced the boarding of a NW flight to "Skip-all" airport. That's a new one...
Also, the Cab they serve here tastes like cheap grape juice. Oh how I long for some premium wines... Yes, I'm bored... :D |
CM: My only advice is to not do anything too obvious expecting perfection. I was proposed to on the beach where I first really connected /hooked up with the fiance. All nice and sweet and all except that it had been 4 yrs since our first/last trip there and it was pretty obvious what was coming....and, well, it didn't turn out as planned. I said yes but it just wasn't meant to be.
I don't mean to be a big downer here in The Box, just saying that you need to know what's really going on in there before proposing...... |

If 10pm the night before the flight is the time to do it then do it. If it is on the beach, do it. I had a grand plan and it went all to hell. My secondary plan fell apart too. I still managed to pull it off and the story ended up being fun because of that, plus the fact that I actually did it. S. |

Haha. Actually, yeah, a little. She doesn't handle mainline that well...and I quote: "I don't like takeoff and landing. At cruise I'm OK."

Note to ConciergeMike. Don't go planning a "romantic" place or a specific time for this proposal. Just do it any time when you are both looking into each other's eyes knowing how much love is there and how much the two of you like being together. This can happen any time, anywhere, and you both will remember it forever.
Just my 2 cents. |

Re: proposal - good points of advice all, thanks very much. I'm thinking the night before the flight will be the way to go, because she absolutely won't see it coming. Then she's the one more liable to do something goofy. I don't think I could sit on the ring til December, either. Now the question is if I can secretly record it...her lil Canon PowerShot does video. :D |
