... what makes that statement funny is that it's 3 blocks from my house.

Yes, I am laughing at myself. :D

Did you just forget where it was and automatically get in the car?

My iPod was in my car and I went to get it, and figured, eh - what the heck.

Had to get up before 6 to pick up my cousins off the boat in Galveston. Then went in the hot sun in Kemah. I am so tired and feel like doing absolutely nothing. Which is what I'm doing.

On another note, does this idea to propose sound completely insane? We're going to MCO on 9/11, early out of PHL. Gotta be up bout 4am. I'm going to her house the night before to make the 6am flight easier on me. I won't get to her house til about 9:30-10:00 due to work. The only thing stopping me from doing it late that night is that if she gets the ring that late at night, there's a good chance she won't sleep much, if any. On one hand, I want to kick off the trip nicely, but on the other, I know I run a severe risk of a forecast of mostly tired and cranky in addition to a 1-hour CLE connection and her first RJ flight. Needless to say she's not the greatest of fliers. Opinions?

CO F/As

What is up with the wings? I had a F/A on a recent BOS-IAH flight with "International" under their wing and have seen him on an IAH-MFE flight with the same wings. Are the wings interchangeable or is this F/A a former international F/A who is now working domestic?

What happened to the FL beach proposal idea?

Still there, but I'm genuinely not sure of what to do and the pre-trip thing does have its appeal. My mother is telling me pre-trip is also the thing to do, and according to her, there's a thing I can't comprehend about a woman wanting to show off a diamond ring. She has also said that "several people" have told her I should do this and that it's a good idea. But having said that, my mother doesn't get told no very often by anyone. cruisr, were you one of the people that said this is good?

Ugh - I forgot how much of a dump the WC at MSP (the one between F and G) is. My flight to EWR is delayed about 2:45 right now, so it looks like this will be home for a while. :(

I think the key is to go with what you think will be the most memorable for her (for you too) - a spot that has some sort of significance to the time you have been together.

If you're going to be there that long, you should hoof it over to the Concourse C WC. It's sooooo much nicer.

Agreed - is there a spot pre trip to do this? Do you really think she'll be cranky (other than the RJ) after getting engaged? :)

She doesn't read FT does she? ;)

Fair point, but she doesn't function well on less than 8-9 hours. As I'm fond of saying, she's just fragile.

Agreed. I am usually over there when I am connecting through MSP on NW. Today, I am originating in MSP and flying CO. Honestly, I am tired from a long weekend and too tired to make the trek down to the C WC. This is one of those delays where I just want to curl up, fall asleep and wake up at home.

EDIT: I was able to get an S60 from National here on Thursday evening. When I arrived, the ES was ful of absolute garbage so I asked if they had any Volvos or Infinitis they could bring around for me. About 5 minutes later, a S60 was dropped off right in front of me and I was on my way. Nice car! ^
