HARTMANN: please write. I am getting tired of some of our FA's and their attitudes towards the customers. Some of them need to be reminded that their job is to be polite and stop with the attitudes that you experienced.

For some reason I am seeing more and more of this. I'm not sure if it's because of potential furloughs coming in September or something else, but it is still no excuse for bad service.

Virgin Galatic anyone? It would be a heck of a flight, but the design doesn't smell right to me.

Looks like the U-2 and haute design had a child.

my only question is, do I get EQM's for the flight?

It'd be the world's worst mileage run. Those edge of space flights hardly cover any ground. You go about 68 miles up and another 68 down. The US people are aghast over not getting the minimum 500.

The EQM also doesn't offset the price: 2,000,000 RDM.

If you plan on paying with miles note that they have to be earned by flying, not through partner transfers into the VS program. Apparently one guy has already cashed in the 2MM points to reserve his space.

Too bad CO isnt doing this. The winner of the poker tourney in Vegas could take themself and 9 of their closest friends to space. How sweet would that be?

Fun way to kick off a bachelor party.

LCH/AEX/BPT and one of either HRL/BRO/MFE almost always turn up on the specials. With the recent hurricane, I wouldn't be surprised if BRO or MFE were on this week's specials.

It isn't the best time to come to the Valley right now, specifically SPI--they are't expected to get power back until late this week.

Our upstairs AC is out . We had company last night in the guest room upstairs and they said this morning that it was broiling upstairs. I went to check and it was 86! Mr BL came home and found that the fan unit isn't working or something like that. YIKES. We'll see how quickly this get fixed. Thank God our bedroom is downstairs. BL JR can have a slumber party there tonight.

MFE is indeed showing as a CO.com special for this weekend, as is LFT.

OPFlyer Jul 28, 2008 7:22 pm

Also, SPI will be closed off to the public for about a week for anyone wanting to catch a deal and hang out at the beach.

Yikes, though not terribly surprising, given that it cranked up to a medium-2 and powered within a few miles of SPI/Port Isabel. How did you fare further inland in MFE? Hope all is well.
