At least you get to go through the Amistad Park during the drive...
Tickets to LBB are hovering around $350 r/t for the weekend of the UT game (Nov. 1). |
Speaking of college football, has anyone seen the Rivals.com preseason rankings? I wonder what it is they are smoking because it is clearly some amazing stuff.

Not sure where Rivals.com got their OU juice from but, wow, #4?! |

hehe, Texas Tech ranked above UT, good stuff. I do have a feeling we have a shot at the Big 12 title.
Not sure where Rivals.com got their OU juice from but, wow, #2?! What is with OSU? People have sipped the Columbus cool-aid twice and been poisioned twice. You'd think they learn... |

I can now check off DRT (Del Rio for the non-IAHers) in my quest to hit all of CO's Texas airports.
Flying today was an interesting experience. First there was the cat fight between the women in 1B and 1E on my ATL-IAH flight. They didn't know each other. I was in 1A so I witnessed all of it. 1E threw a fit about not being allowed to have her purse on the floor -- we were on a 73G and there's no cutout there that she could put it in. She wouldn't let the flight attendant put it in the overhead, saying "It's a Gucci and nobody touches it but me." That prompted 1B to make an offer of putting it in our foot space cutout (which really was my space, because 1B already had her purse down there in front of her feet). 1E responded "I wasn't talking to you." At this point we now had two flight attendants involved in the discussion, as we were taxiing and the safety video was playing. 1B responded with "I'm just trying to help. You don't have to be so mean." 1E's response was "I said I was not talking to you!" At this point 1B turns around to her husband in B, who is snoring loudly and yells "George stop snoring!" It didn't get better after takeoff; 1E was a total b!tch to the flight attendants the entire flight. Rather than politely refuse lunch, her response was "Why are you all serving shrimp? Those are nasty!" when she was told that lunch was the shrimp salad. The flight attendant then offered to just bring her the fruit and other lunch items and 1E said "I told you I don't want to eat." She held the precious Gucci purse in her lap the entire flight, including while working on her laptop, which she also held in her lap for takeoff and landing. |

What about the Capital Grill, which is about a sneeze's distance from Jordan's? |
