Howdy Box!

I got me some Texas boots now, after a little shopping spree in Fort Worth. :) NOW I feel like I belong in TX :)

Let's hope the storms are mild today so I can get outta here tonight. Last night there was a meltdown of epic proportion at DFW...

You obviously have great taste! :D

My setting is a Tacori. I commissioned one that was a combinatin of two different styles and they made it for me. It's really beautiful, I love it.

When we first bought the diamond (10 years ago), my insurance company wouldln't insure a loose stone, so we hightailed it down to the local Jewelry Exchange and had it put into a fairly basic setting. It was OK, but 3 years ago, I decided that I really wanted a nicer setting, and so worked with the guys at Tacori to get what i wanted.

This is such a bad week :( I don't want a repeat of it, crisis after crisis!

Man oh man. Just read through the posts from last night.

ALCO, whatever you're going through, I'm sorry. I hope this is for the best for everyone.

It is, according to that other availability tool.

And so was born the acronym: TOAT.

ALCO, I have an excellent Diamond Broker that I can give you the information for. He is 100% trustworthy. In fact, when we were looking for a diamond, we worked with him for several months while he sourced exactly what we wanted. Whenever he found something, he shipped it to me -didn't even ask me to pay for it until I had looked at it, had it appraised by a local gemologisit and was happy with it - and I eventually found the diamond I have now. if you want his name, PM me and I'll send you his details. I would trust him completely to get you the very best price he can. He's located on the west coast.

That is one nice puppy by the sounds of it. - IF and D - phew! I know diamonds, and know what to look for. What are the proprotions? The cut? The table dimensions? Is it a triple 000 or Excellent,Excellent, Excellent? If it is, you'll have no problem getting a good price for it. My diamond is a 2 carat, triple zero, VS1, F. Color is no problem. The cut is so fantastic that it is blindingly bright. I am one very lucky girl to have this diamond, I can tell you!!

Thank you. I may send you a PM if/when the expected return of said item occurs. I don't know the proportions/table dimensions off the top of my head, but it's all listed on the GIA Cert., so I'd be able to provide it to anyone interested in buying.

good morning box.
I pulled the all time most  move ever, I was on the KLIA ekspress train this morning and I suddenly realized I left a folder with all my itineraries, and other personal paperwork at the desk I was sitting at in the SIN SQ lounge. Long story short , after spending all day in KUL I was flying back to SIN and went to the lounge and found that someone turned in the folder ^
Time to go get some singapore slings :D

Agreed. As her mom, it is your right to determine what exposure she gets and it's unreasonable for someone to use a pic without authorization. Plus, there are tons of pics they can buy from pic sites for that purpose.

Absolutely Plus1

Staying behind in that train-wreck would be bad news all around in the long-run. It sucks beans, but I gotta head some other direction for my own personal sanity. Besides, assuming I get teh rock back, I intend (after paying off a small private student loan that irks me) to use the remaining proceeds for a paid :-: RTW in C from one of the cheaper origin-countries to do a blitzkrieg on my BD account.

I must say... TOAT Diamond's access to an ITA grease-monkey script and full routing-rules is ^. However, I wholeheartedly support any competition (especially Box-generated) to TOAT.

I had a very  travel day yesterday. Delayed in SAT for two hours, and then spent the entire flight (in Y,) sitting behind a family whose 2 year old wailed for the entire, yes, entire flight. I cannot believe that child did not wear himself out and fall asleep. It was, after all, an evening flight. He had a very high pitched wail and shriek that lasted 3 and a half hours. Aaaaaaaaaagh!

Fortunately, having "been there, done that: with my eldest daughter, I had a lot of empathy for the poor Mom. She was doing everything she could to keep him quiet or get him to sleep, but he wasn't cooperating. She was frazzled.

i have a very good ability to block out noise like that. I bury myself in a crossword, or a book, and just don't hear it for long periods of time. others, on the other hand, were getting very exasperated.

You couldn't just call and have them ship it to you?

Yup. The longer train wrecks go for, the worse they are. I give you credit for not trying to save a sinking ship.

My office smells like toaster strudel. This is a wonderful torture.

Rolle Yes would have had a Senior VP for SQ personally deliver it to his Bavarian Chalet.

.

I tried to go to the SQ office in the KL city center, but it had been moved, and the call center I got could not really understand I wanted to be connected with the lounge at the airport. I was flying back thru here tonight anyways, and when I went back they had it.

Sheraton Philadelphia City Center vs. 4P City Center?

Thoughts? Gripes?
