I have no doubt of the difficulty of such a task.

So much for putting the toys away - fiancee's parents came home and decided that a/c was unnecessary...fiancee lives in the converted and renovated attic.

63 here right now, with forecast highs all week in the low 80s ^

Am I the only person who thinks the concept of a solar-powered atomic alarm clock is misguided? The last thing I want in my bedroom are open shades so my alarm clock can charge

Do you spend lots of daylight hours in your bedroom?

No but I don't want to open and close the blinds every day as an extra errand on the mental list, simply to charge a solar-powered alarm clock. ;)

Her parents think that the house being hotter than outside is normal.

How about opening the shades to see what kind of weather is out there so you know which shoes to put on?

Bought the mower new last season, so there's plenty of blade to reclaim. And sharpening the blade would allow me to test out some new tools I got from Lowe's last month.

Make sure the blade is still balanced after you sharpen it or it will vigrate like crazy. You can stick the blade on a marble or something like that to see if it's balanced.

Night Box.

That's when I open a window - fixes the imbalance quickly.

Agreed. While I'm all for green energy (hold the side dish of unneeded rhetoric) I can't see myself opening and closing blinds to suit the needs of a clock making it onto my to-do list consistently.

Sounds like there's a lot of thought involved when you get dressed each morning (and/or a lot of early-morning rain). I wear black dress oxfords everyday, with two backup pair and shoe polish in the office. I've also worn the same belt everyday from 2001 to present.

Need to get some sleep - have to stop by the gym before work in the morning.

My last alarm clock died two years ago and was never replaced. The daylight naturally wakes me up so whether I want to or not (mostly not) I am alerted to the new day by my upper window.

Now if I have to get on a plane early morning, the cell phone works nicely.

My bed used to sit in a spot in the bedroom that left me vulnerable to the sunrise coming right into my eyes. I live seven miles by air from an Air Force bombing range. The first range booking that visiting aircraft could make was at one point the perfect time for me to get up for work...no alarm clock needed, the sound of automatic cannon fire carried by the wind did it for me.

How much are specialized plates in NJ? I think CA only charges $25 extra per year.

Teh Box has been busy! I'll be sitting on RJ's waiting to take off and land on Tuesday and Thursday (EWR-SDF; SDF-CLE). In the meantime, I was up near Newton, NJ at a BBQ. Sorry to not respond to your text right away Mike....I was in the hot tub with a Mike's Hard Lemonade ^ and my phone wasn't near me.

I love the idea of a vanity plate.....I'll actually have to seriously consider that! This is the most messed up vanity plate I've seen (can't believe they let it through)....pretty twisted idea.

G'night box.
