Is he sitting on an RJ waiting to land or take off?

How much are specialized plates in NJ? I think CA only charges $25 extra per year.

I forget how much the charge is for straight-up vanity or affinity plates in NJ. My plate is considered a vanity, but it's the fee-free kind that alerts Teh Polizei to my connection to a govt. official. Normal custom plates carry a surcharge for creation, which is the number I'm blanking on...there is not, that I remember, a per annum charge to own the plate.

Far be it for NJ to be that customer-friendly...I know FL offers a look at the plate before you commit to ordering it. ERJ H8R might not be available because of the "H8R" part. Could be a banned combination. There is a particularly motivated Opie and Anthony fan living somewhere in NYS that has "XM 202" on his plate, and I have seen an NJ plate "OA WOW". I've also seen a few good poker-player plates...there's a BMW that has PKTACES, and I've seen others that I can't remember the structure of, but do remember getting a laugh out of. A guy I know went many rounds back and forth with the state to find a version of "closure" that was available, as he went thru a long and overly contested divorce. I think he finally had to spell it CLZUR.

That would get issued because it gets around the filter and then offend someone. Kinda like the guy in Illinois who bought a Hummer and then got the custom plate to read GIVEMEA.
