As is the Puffy Shirt, the signpost from MASH, and an early copy of Kermit the Frog.

I missed the MASH sign, and Fonzie's jacket (if it's still on display). I've not been there since they redid it a few years ago. Lots of cool stuff to see -- but Julia's kitchen was pretty much the most crowded exhibit in the entire place.

Afterward, I headed off to Arlington and watched Ted Kennedy get driven by.

I capped the day off with a movie, In The Loop. It was hilarious!

I don't know anyone out here with an HTC.

Sure you do -- only they have some cell provider's label on them, not an HTC label.

Have you been to the Twin Cities before? PM me if you're in need of recommendations on restaurants, places to go, hotels to stay in. I spent a lot of time there in 2006-2008.

I lost my battle for an E-Jet ride. DC-9-30 both ways as it stands now. It's still a new line, new dot, and a new type, just not the new type I was hoping for. At the same time, not unlike AMS, it is quite hard to complain about free.

The hotel is already sewn up despite any recommendation that anyone might make...my mother has a rather blind loyalty to Embassy Suites. I could tell her that 19 people on FlyerTalk told me that it's one of the worst ES properties in the system. She'll pause, say "that's nice", and not budge an inch. But hey, it's her points.

I've not been there before, so once I figure out the needs around town I'll let you know; thanks for the offer. Right now as far as I can tell, it looks like we are really only uncertain of Sunday night dinner. Everything else is set for us by the convention.

Morning, Box. Sunday, gloomy crappy Sunday. My mentor is going to CAI in a few weeks with his brother. My mother did the trip for him, so it's on me today to drop off his documents and flight bag, etc.

ETA: While I'm bummed about the E-Jet, I know that it will be short-lived. I can catch all four variants of the big Embraer out of PHL after the Star transition.

Well I guess I ate a little too close to going to bed last night. Had a very wild dream but funny.

Here are the details (yes I know the city pair doesnt work):

Get on a plane OKC-IAH on Allgiant. Everything is fine until we start to land in Houston and we find ourselves flying about 300 to 500 feet off the ground dodging buildings and lightpoles. We finally land, but on a residential street near the airport. At this point in the dream I start laughing and it transfers over to me laughing in real life and I walk up last night.

Not to self, don't eat so late while watching a movie. Hmmm, speaking of which I watched Flight Plan, maybe that had something to do with it too. :D

Booked all my connecting flights for the Star Mega DO last night. Now just waiting on the charter to be released on Monday.

:D you were laughing about Allgiant flying their MD80's on OKC to IAH right?

Were you at the FC lounge or the adjoining C class room?

My (admittedly five year old) memories of those rooms is that the FC lounge was truly great with a terrific food selection presided over by a sushi chef, banks of available computers, lots of comfortable seating with an expansive view, and many other amenities that I did not bother using during a six hour layover.

OTOH, I did find the C class lounge not to be anything special and was quite disappointed that the F lounge was not yet open 5-7 AM when we got there for a two hour layover.

Looks like I am going to give the light rail a try when I am in MSP before/after the MSP-GEG fare. $1.75 to get within a block or two of many SPG properties is difficult to pass on. This should give me a chance to check out the Aloft, Westin, W and Hotel Ivy. ^
