Later on, Box. Time to put away the toys.

What did you do that he's doing that?

I know I am no icurhere2, but I saved $22.50 with coupons at Super Wal-Mart today

If these were purchases you would have made anyway, saving $22.50 is always a good thing. That's analogous to earning a little more than $30 extra pre-tax ^ *

* Yes - I've trained myself to think of discounts in terms of how much of an impact there would be in my (fixed) pre-tax salary.

This was my big once-a-month food shop
Two coupons were expired and a few I did not meet the min purchase requirement, I picked the dumbest looking cashier I could find. :-:

icurhere2 Aug 30, 2009 8:52 pm

Wow - even I don't use expired coupons or ones where I didn't meet the minimum purchase.

jrzyshawn Aug 30, 2009 8:53 pm

It was stuff I needed anyway, I figured what the heck.

I'm beat from being up since 4:45 am. I get to sleep late tomorrow, I'm off. ^

I get to earn 3,280 miles from ShopOnePass tomorrow. My washer kicked the bucket and I need to purchase a new one from sears and do in-store pick-up. :-:

Another great episode of Entourage.

icurhere2 Aug 30, 2009 9:02 pm

Hmmm - does CO allow one to earn miles for buying a Sears e-gift card? Can a store pick-up item be paid for in advance with an e-gift card? Would it be possible to earn miles twice for the purchase?*

* I don't know the answers here. I usually buy a Sears card during DL/NW multi-partner promotions (gift cards specifically allowed), then use the physical cards in-store when I get a 10% off coupon or rebate.

And I still have a beef with Sears not honoring a $50 rebate where they know I complied with all terms and conditions.

One of the items on my To Do List this week is sharpening the lawn mower's blade  Heck - it looked so bad I might just go to Lowe's and buy a new one ...

probably a good idea. Last time I tried sharpening and it lasted about 2 mowings until it was needed again, and there wasn't much of the blade left after 2 times.

icurhere2 Aug 30, 2009 9:34 pm

Bought the mower new last season, so there's plenty of blade to reclaim. And sharpening the blade would allow me to test out some new tools I got from Lowe's last month.
