At least y'all didn't get stuck with the more hideous Natural Texas plate. It was #2 on the vote list.

Speaking of Dunkin, they have a new donut out called 'Toffee for your Coffee.' I tried it and give it a :td:. It's a very dense donut capable of replacing the donut in my trunk. :-: The flavor was very bland tasting like a donut tripple dipped in glaze. The toffee provided no flavor to the donut, and it a texture of not quite crunch. It sounded like there was celery in my donut. :-:

My local Dunkin is also advertising a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on a biscuit as a 'new' item. Maybe it's new to them, I dunno, but I checked Dunkin's website and didn't see that it was new. For a northerner I liked the biscuit. It was appropriately dense and crumbly, yet not falling apart. However, for a biscuit aficionado like DunkinInsider I suspect it will offend his southern sensibilities. :-:

We used to do that in college, back before they scanned coupons. Buy a ton of stuff, find a cashier who looks like she either no longer gives a darn or is just dumb, hand over a big stack of coupons, and hope she never really paid attention to anything but the price. A couple of friends and I did this repeatedly my freshman year, and would hand over coupons for things like dog food even though we all lived in an on campus residence hall and were buying only snacks and drinks and stuff for our rooms. Most of the time we were never questioned. On one Sunday we went in, bought a Sunday paper, went back out and cut every coupon in it, went back in and bought a bunch of junk food and sodas, handed over all the coupons, and ended up getting money back because we went over the total purchase price. I'm not sure that anything we purchased that day had a legitimate coupon.

I did that with UA back when they issued 5k paper certificates for mileage awards. When ticketing trans-pond business class award tix for two I handed over my certs, which included a few that had expired. The agent handed the pile back to me and asked me to count out the right number! I stuck the expired coupons into the middle.:D She stuck a staple through the whole mess and handed over our tickets. ^

I'll get most of a month - 14 September last day, 12 October first day. I'll be on annual leave (at the much higher pay rate) in the interim to preserve full benefits coverage.

Even though I had screen captures of the site being up before I made my last reservation (in July), immediately after I made my last reservation, and the folio said it was made through "SPG 500", I was told that the website hadn't been up when I made my reservation. That was the final explanation as to why the 500 points didn't get credited automatically ...

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I used to have horrible luck with it, but lately it seems to have been working for me. I don't usually complain if the points don't post, but it's great when they do.
