Home Theater Blues, Part Deux:

Recap:

Mom buys home theater in a box. Volume cuts out for no discernible reason. Home theater goes in for service, as unit was bought secondhand. Service guy says home theater working fine, consider your cable box suspect.

Today: Go to Comcrap, get new box. Plug cable and HDMI back in, only to get frozen picture. Is it the new old box that's crap, or did my mother win the unlucky lottery and buy a bad piece of HDMI cable?

Any suggestions for a semi-unique destination we can spend 2 days in this weekend? We can't fly, so it would need to be a ~4 hour (max) drive or train ride from central NJ. I'd like somewhere with an SPG property - a nice spa would be be a plus.
