Thanks for the headsup. I don't see an expiration date on that one. Did I miss something?

It's put up during times when there are long phone holds, and taken down as soon as possible. Always a limited time offer.

You keep a donut in your trunk? I keep an emergency pastry in my glove compartment. :-:

I saw it advertised yesterday. Tempted to try it, haven't yet.

I can't keep donuts in the trunk because my trunkmonkey keeps eating them.

Expect nothing less from Teh People's Republik. Your papers, please.

He needs those 15 minutes to stretch as long as he can...Teh Beyotch is taking all the TV money.

Haha. I'm about to go over there and make a donation. In my reading of Kitchen Confidential, I've learned all kinds of new vocabulary words for when I choose to drop the hammer on lunacy and stupidity. ^

HELLO box! What have we missed? Lots I am sure!

KLM first class AMS-EDI was :D:rolleyes:. I'm sure we got better drinks/food but the seats were the same as coach.

Hertz Pres Circle finally came in handy and upgraded us to a nice 4wd AUOTMATIC Volvo. Plus1 was hard pressed to admit it, but he was happy to not have to deal with a stick. He's done just fine and so far no moving violations.

We hit the countryside and the edge of the Highlands yesterday (which included a box worthy event of a whiksey distillery; Glengoyne). Plus1 had a nice golf round this morning while I slept and then we toured a private castle in the countryside before having afternoon tea. We've both enjoyed one of our favorite hobbies, local grocery shopping and have a nice array of snacks and drinks with us.

The hotel is nice; we're pleased overall (though housekeeping could use some help and we could do without the 15 pound internet charge).

We're going into to the city tomorrow after Plus1's golf round.

One of my friends has many patents on the donuts in the trunk of passenger vehicles.

We used to do that in college, back before they scanned coupons. Buy a ton of stuff, find a cashier who looks like she either no longer gives a darn or is just dumb, hand over a big stack of coupons, and hope she never really paid attention to anything but the price. A couple of friends and I did this repeatedly my freshman year, and would hand over coupons for things like dog food even though we all lived in an on campus residence hall and were buying only snacks and drinks and stuff for our rooms. Most of the time we were never questioned. On one Sunday we went in, bought a Sunday paper, went back out and cut every coupon in it, went back in and bought a bunch of junk food and sodas, handed over all the coupons, and ended up getting money back because we went over the total purchase price. I'm not sure that anything we purchased that day had a legitimate coupon.

Sounds like the Blueberry Blossom donut that was heavily advertised by Tim Hortons while I was in YYC. So we tried it and was such a .

Dang starpicks isnt up and says its on vacation this week. I tried to book a hotel room via the starpicks rate on Friday night (Sheraton Mission Valley SAN for this weekend)at 8:30pm but it was gone :(. Now the rate is $30 more per night and I just refuse to pay it when I can get a Hilton in SAN for $35 less.

Your divorce from Hilton is going about as smooth as the Gosselins' divorce.

Thanks. I want to keep that thread up there (which is the only reason I keep replying) to force CO Insider's hand to reply. I fired off a nasty-gram to [email protected] asking how one goes about complaining about the complaint dept. Do I call res?

In reply to your comment in the other thread, you know a did stand-up for a bit in college, right?
