For those in the BOS area, I won't be making the Belgian Beer Festival. My best friend wants me to hop up for NERAX North instead. |
I have been with TMo for several years after ATT simply pissed me off to no end, and I must say they have steadily improved in regards to coverage. I have also used VZW and found their coverage to be tops, but they should be embarrassed at their hardware offerings and complete lack of international options until recently.

Those planes weren't originally equipped with 30" pitch. Many of them weren't even ordered by US; they were Piedmont planes that US inherited. Back then they had fewer seats in Y and better pitch. It's been in the last decade that the pitch in both Y and F was reduced to ridiculously low levels so that more seats could be crammed into the plane.

The 3 and 8 shoots would be good enough to make up for my awful showing at 15. I'm no good after about 11.

You live in a place where the cops are understanding of the public wanting to defend themselves, and therefore good help is much easier to come by.

I'm not a Verizon fan. I've not been impressed with the device I have for work from them, and sadly I've found that the 3G CDMA data on my Verizon BlackBerry is only marginally faster than the non-3G EDGE data on my T-Mobile BlackBerry. Now, the be fair, the Verizon device is ancient (by my standards, but not nearly the antique that icurhere2 carries around ;)), and is dealing with a tiny amount of memory and a pretty slow processor. My T-Mobile BlackBerry is brand new, and has more memory and a faster processor than the average PC had less than 10 years ago. That does make a difference, as the data is rendered to the browser much faster once it hits the device. But overall, I haven't been blown away with Verizon.
We have many phones, my mom's account they just processed 3 upgrades at one time, all to nice phones, and moved her to a new shared data plan with more minutes, and $10 LESS monthly cost than they were paying before for just voice+sms (no data, unlimited sms comes free with data plan), the data plan now has free gps, tv, and other services, along with free SMS. I have 2 phones, and a mobile broadband card, this was the first time I've ever had a problem with their customer services. I even have the local tower climbers mobile number for any issues with weather and the likes that affects my area(it is rather remote). The verizon landline service here sucks, the t3 backhaul goes down a lot, initially I had a problem with the internet going down when this happened(being I use data services 24/7 this is a problem), but they have configured it now so that if the t3 backhaul goes down, it goes to another region via site to site backhaul and works well, just a bit slower. Overall I have to say they have been very responsive, and really cared for me as a customer. |

Isn't EVDO on VZW not even really true 3G (more like 2.5G)? I know my VZW BB seems faster when roaming on regular 3G networks overseas.
1xRTT is NOt 3g, it is 144k 2.5g. 1xRTT is common on Sprint and VZW in rural markets. it is still not too bad, about ISDN speeds. :) EVDO better be 3g the GSM networks '3g' rollouts are essentially the same, with a new name :D (there is a difference in the multiplexing, signaling etc, but it is CDMA based just as 1xRTT/EVDO is.) Mackieman can probably give us more tech insight on this than anyone around. |

And US is refurbishing these same 734's with new Y and new F but not dialing the pitch back up to where it should be? What's wrong with this picture?

Because they're filling the planes up with that number of seats, and don't feel like they're losing customers because of it. So as long as passengers are willing to keep buying tickets and filling those seats, they're not going to change it.

Verizon has offered very good international coverage on BB's for at least a couple of years.
