Aloha box. I'm rather behind in here but just wanted to pass my condolences onto the bagfamily.

Regarding me doing MR's to hit my 210k miles needed by year end -- the way I'm able to earn 150k miles w/out churning coins or doing MR's is because I'm gone almost every day. I do need to spend some time at home, on the weekends. But, yes, I might need to get me a Chase CO branded debit card (already having the 'ing account).

Although if it comes down to it, you might see me making a west coast turn come the end of the year.

If I'm ever that wealthy, maybe. Certainly not season tickets to a sport.

One of my friends owned a jet for several years. It was a real money pit; maintenance costs, insurance premiums, home airport storage fees, landing and storage fees at every airport to which you fly, and fuel costs all add up. Had he to do it over, I think he would have just kept the single-engine airplane with which he started and put the money in the bank. With the jet (a Citation), it seemed like there was an airworthiness directive every month that required him to incur maintenance fees.

What exactly do you get for your $150k if you still have to pay for tickets?

The right to say "I spent $150K for the right to purchase tickets for this seat...."

S:eek:me of us have spent that much on $1 coins  (he says after shelling about $4k worth into a bucket he can no longer lift! -- It's off to TD...)

 I just went to take a pic and put my SD card in the camera, it showed to be protected, checked it and the entire card was split in half!

Amazingly the data is still there, I am copying it all off now, and then it looks like it is going in the trash. 8GB SD card....bye!

I sure haven't done so ... And I have to add "pick up Martin van Buren coins" to my Friday list when I land.

I've been looking at the spg program. I think I am going to get an SPG Amex card.

Any advice that anyone can give? any special promotions? when's a good time to apply? anything like that?

The best offer right now is for 10k Starpoints for your first purchase and a 15k bonus for spending $15k within six months.

I'm liking the GoGo Inflight wireless at the moment.

Props might be slower, but they are more efficient and less hassle. If I could, I'd buy myself a Mooney and only fly commercial if the flight was 750 miles or more, excepting Florida. Unfortunately, my choice of tail number is being held by someone in DC that has something to do with, as far as I can tell, ADS-B implementation.

Make sure it's not covered by a warranty that will get you a new one!

I am biased now, I can't pass up on the size of my touchscreen tablet. i have the huge battery in it making it a bit heavy, but 6.5 hours of runtime....dual cpu, no downsides to it!

Hrm did not think of that, I just took the card out of the plastic sleeve, it is fine internally. I need to find out how the write protect switch worked and I can rebuild it.

Buy it with an AmEx fairly recently?

I looked at the pricing at the last Berkshire Annual Meeting. Not a pretty number at all (can easily spend $150K on two transcons).

AAARGH!!! Why can't people understand the difference between, less and fewer? I think I've heard this mangled about six times today.
