Use Google Voice for your international SMS service as they do not charge for the service. Plus, I am surprised that VZW charges for incoming SMS - TMo only charges me for outgoing when roaming internationally (and they too prorate the plan).

And they don't charge at all if you happen to be in a place with Wi-Fi that you're connected to. Sure it doesn't work everywhere, but it comes in handy when in range of a free access point.

When is 4G coming out?

Sprint has it out along with intel and others in limited markets with ClearWire, and it looks like TMo is about to join that alliance.

VZW is going LTE very slowly!

I wish AT&T allowed this...

A note on ATT data plans that are used for tethering or Nic or USB cards. If you pro-rate these plans i.e. choose to do it for 5 days vs the 30 days of your cycle they also pro-rate the minutes. I did this when I went to Japan and got tagged with a huge bill. They didnt say that they pro-rated the MB for the month. After a call to customer service that issue was fixed.

Today is a  Day and there is still 8 hours of work ahead. UGH.

The NVidia ION is pretty nifty, this is a dual core Atom N330 with 4GB RAM and 2x500GB Hard drives:

How long should I expect a transfer from a UA Express flight (T3) to a mainline US flight (T1) to take at SFO on a Sunday morning?

It's about a 10 minute walk from T-3 to T-1. There is an Elite security line at T-3 (am assuming you're flying CO) which will get you to the front of the ID check line but the x-ray screening can be bad due to SW flights. Not sure how many SW flights leave Sunday morning. Since you will be infront of most of their customers, the total time shouldn't be more than 20 minutes.

Thanks sfogate. Is it faster to walk through the International terminal and skip the AirTrain? I am actually connecting to a US flight, but IIRC, they aren't too far from the CO gates. I have just about an hour for the connection, so it sounds like I should have no problem if my arriving flight is on time

The Airtrain can be the same time length as walking. Walking through the International terminal or going via T-3 to T-2 to T-1 takes about the same amount of time but the walk thru Int'l is a nicer walk.

US gates are just before CO's gate. You take a left at Gate 25, which is at the mini food court area.

That is the best car I have ever had, hands down.

In other news, I have to bring my mom to get her birth cert. and then bring her for her very first passport  and I will have to pay a visit to Chase to make a small deposit :p

Wait until you have "friends" from high school that are linked to you on Facebook posting about their son/daughter starting high school this fall. This hits like a brick when you don't have kids, and this person's kids weren't born until a few years after you graduated high school.
