INTL coverages doesn't matter much for me really, I'd rather buy a local card anyway. I don't want to pay any of the Us Companies insanity fees.

Agreed, but how many years were they behind the curve?

Phone calls are expensive though; anywhere between $1 and $2.50/minute.

I really don't know, since I never really paid attention until the last few years. I would guess that they were behind the curve for awhile, though.
I do think they have come a long way in the past couple years (Mrs. MBM3 is a long time customer), but still think their hardware offering is a farce beyond their BlackBerries. |

Verizon lets you prorate international data plans by the day. I think the one that I use overseas costs $60/month, so it ends up costing about $2/day for unlimited data and free incoming texts. Phone calls are expensive though; anywhere between $1 and $2.50/minute.

Because they're filling the planes up with that number of seats, and don't feel like they're losing customers because of it. So as long as passengers are willing to keep buying tickets and filling those seats, they're not going to change it.

I think many of us forget that many PAX simply do not travel enough to know any different nor do they know or care what equipment is operating a flight as long as it is not a prop.

Up until the BlackBerry World Phone, they forced you to rent a phone from Vodaphone and pay some extraordinary fees to do so.

My stomach is still shaky from simply viewing the lunch offering in F yesterday (DEN-IAH). The fact that Chelsea thinks that the "cheeseburger" even looks appetizing is a farce. The fact that they paired it with a fine offering of bean soup is simply sadistic. Thankfully there was some fruit as well, but instead of dessert they should have provided alka-seltzer or beano.

It is $65/month for unlimited data on a BB and the incoming text are $0.05 each. Well worth it. I do it every time I'm out of the country.

When is 4G coming out?

Yes, I remember that. I usually just rented phones overseas independent of VZW and got better pricing that way.

Hmmm, the HP Mini 311 is looking mighty sexy. 11.6" screen, ION graphics, RAM upgradeable to 3GB and XP.
