i have complained two sectors of j travel on a very poor quality fitting 359 plus one of the sectors with poor service and fail aircon at boarding. both my companion and i got 10k am compensation with very generic apology to shut our mouth. we are silver on revenue tickets.
but i dont think they will even care about complain as hk based crew are mixed bag reputation for decades, and 359 fitting quality issue existed there fore more than half year, and they use silicon to fill up the peeling off veneer and do nothing on the armrest and extension flap area so far. dont know if 17 delivered equimtment can be improved

A350 now flying to MEL daily

First flight went down to MEL last night as CX105. The return flight CX104 MEL-HKG is en route back to HKG. Both flights are daily 35G now.

Do these mainstream media report on the state of the J-class seats? So far, I haven't read anywhere (aside, of course, from FT) about the disrepair of J class seats affecting all 350s.

This doesn't sound good.

I haven't seen the peeling veneer, but it looks hard to fix the extension flaps. It is a pretty hefty chunk of aluminium that comes loose but its hard to see where its even supposed to be attached to.

The only time I've seen the A350 in it's full working condition was last June 1,2016...the rest of the times, I've always had an issue or at least someone next to me had an issue with their seats.

Got 4 A350 flights coming up in March/April, looking forward to experiencing it firsthand. I've seen pretty mixed reviews on here with most of the negativity surrounding the J seat quality issues, luckily for me I won't have to worry about that in PEY. For those who have tried the new premium economy product how does it compare to the current 77W/A333 version ? I've read a few trip reports but none of them really divulged anything useful when comparing it to the current seat.

personally i'd say its better overall.
its function better thanks the leg support that missing on the 77w, also i feel leg room is better when in upstraight position. however when the leg support and foot rest in use and the front seat reclined, the leg room feels more cramped compare to the 77w. the cabin itself much quiter on 359. fyi im 175cm 52kg

Why is it called XWB (eXtra Wide Body) ?
The inner cabin width is 5,8m, while the 777 is 5.9m and the 380 6.2 meters wide, so actually the 380 is an XWB.
