Doing my first long haul on CX855 this Thursday from YVR to HKG. I flew short haul from HKG to TPE and back but I'm keen to see what it's like on a 13 hour flight. The dilemma is do I take 40H with someone beside me or do I take what is right now an empty row and take a chance at having a whole row to myself.

The wifi speed is excellent on the A350. I don't know if it's because most people don't use it, or their system is good, but it's one of the best in the sky IMO. Better than JL, destroys EK (not hard) and better speeds than I've had on SQ.

Agreed. EK makes it free and they use older systems; so many people complain about it, but they can't really complain since its free. Also, SQ wifi is incredibly expensive; additionally, I personally prefer buying wifi by time than by data.
