I think lots of us will want to buy at this rate...me for a first.
Yes. HK$0.0877 per Asiamile is a bargain.

Remember SC selling Asiamiles at HK$0.12 per mile before - I bought around 400,000 miles or perhaps 500,000. Great value when redeeming RTW OW award tickets.

Just received my BEA world flyer card, more than a month after the online registration !!!
Their so called welcome pack really suck, can't even find any information on their bundle UP card neither in their brochure or their website.

"All spending at dining outlet, unlimited 3X bonus point" What is that? i don't even know how do i earn them.

Just saying... by the way, is their any use for their UP card, can i cancel it? or would they charge me if i don't reach a certain threshold?

Thanks

BEA Unionpay earns 3X points at dining outlets but since they can't be converted to Asia Miles (cash coupons only) it's another foreskin card.

Apparently can cut right away.

HSBC 10% Rewardcash (extra $1/AM) 1 Nov-31 Dec

http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...w.php?id=16380
https://www.redhotoffers.hsbc.com.hk...tmas/mannings/

Very simple this round - just register, buy $4,000 coupon in one go on any Fri/Sat/Sun and get 10% rebate in Rewardcash --> 4,000AM since the rebate will be coming in March 2016 after the devaluation.

I haven't included other promos. You'll get 144RC if you buy on a VS card with 6X Home and since they're pre-devaluation RC they're worth 2,160AM

And you get 80RC for doing it on a Friday and that will be worth 800AM as they're post-devaluation RC.

Total haul 6,960AM for $4,000 spend

Meanwhile speculation on what will Rewards of Your Choice look like in 2016 is being speculated http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...w.php?id=16383 . Might not necessarily be 6X anymore.

Citi Premiermiles up to $2.15/mile 1 Nov 15-31 Jan 16

http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...w.php?id=16391
https://www.citibank.com.hk/english/...vel-miles.html

Ignore the local spend promo - you get $5/mile for all spending on your BEA Flyer World anyway.

Overseas spend promo:
- you earn $4/mile up to $5,000
- you then earn an extra $4/mile up to $35,000

So the maximum earn you can get is 8,750+7,500 mile at $35,000 overseas spend in any one phase.

There are three phases - Nov, Dec and Jan, and you can only play any two.

Breakeven spending with Fubon $3/mile is $7,500. Above that amount Citi Premiermiles is superior.

So buying $4000 of Mannings Cash voucher on a friday with a HSBC Premier set at Home will earn 6,212AM and with a VS 6,960AM? Excellent deal

I come up with 6,240AM (4,000 + 1,440 + 800). Not sure what the 28 miles is supposed to be...

Oh one other thing the 10% HSBC Mannings promo is a bit of a downer cos it hints a promo akin to Red Hot Winter Shopping Promo (where we can potentially earn 30K or so miles) will not be on next year because those promos always feature Mannings but they're already tied down with the 10% promo with the 7K mile limit.

HSBC VS extra 3X extended to 31 Dec 16 (100K for 2016)

http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...w.php?id=16465
https://www.hsbc.com.hk/personal/credit-cards.html
http://www.personal.hsbc.com.hk/1/2/.../cards/prom202

Extra 3X RewardCash
Continue to enjoy extra 3X RewardCash from 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2016 on your first HKD100,000 eligible spending with your HSBC Visa Signature Card under HSBC Visa Signature Card Special Reward Promotion 2016. You can earn up to 9X RewardCash in total6 if you have also enrolled in the Red Hot Rewards of Your Choice programme ! Terms and conditions apply.
This promo also provides guidance on how 6X will be renewed. By and large the six categories will stay the same. HSBC will probably only see to tweak the spending quotas or something.

To percysmith:

Thanks for all the Hongkongcard links. However most posts on this site are in Chinese.

Is there a English-language forum for Hong Kong miles/points/ premium airfare deals? I live in Hong Kong but can't read Chinese. I know about the Asia miles dining earning options (which seem great, haven't tried it yet) but would like to keep up-to-date on the latest deals.

Thanks
