Also - would the $240 annual fee be waived if I plopped on it 600K tax once every two years? What do you guys do on this card every other year without no/little tax payment?
Cathay Amex gave me a supp for a relative who doesn't even have a HKID. I just sent in their passport and it was accepted, no questions asked.

Banks that won't do miles promos for Christmas 2016

Because they've already rolled out cash rebate offers lasting to next year:

Bankcomm: http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...w.php?id=16547
BEA: http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...w.php?id=16595
Citi: http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...w.php?id=16596
Shacom: http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...w.php?id=16593

939 is the only big mileage spend promo this winter.

CCB 939 Stackable with Other Promos?

I'm not too good at the maths, but if they are stackable, then presumably the earning rate on overseas/restaurant spending will shoot up much higher than $2.1868=1AM (as long as you hit $12,800 per card per month)?

Thanks, but not sure about the Online 2X extra? If it's this promo, then it says "This Rewards promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotions."

I am a PR; I don't have any stars. Stars on a HKID are nothing to do with PR - they are (more or less) to do with Chinese citizenship (although there were many cases of non-Chinese citizens getting them in the past).

Actually it depends on banks.

SCB does encode restaurants as F12345

I went to the exact same restaurants with the exact same terminal with ICBC Mastercard today. Their auth codes are 123456

Got my mailer - $5,000 for 939

How does one pay IRD via credit card? I was thinking of paying with a foreign card so I can earn points (AU issued) but can't see CC payment as an option - only PPS - and of course PPS is limited to HK issued cards.
