Depends how much you have-you could get premier in your HK account, by, for example, holding £50k in a UK account (roughly HKD 582,500)

Mine posted 4 months after, on last day of the month. Didn't bother to call but was going too, if it extended beyond that.

Does anyone have personal confirmation of getting this waiver on the HSBC Visa Signature (or of trying to get one and failing)? I'm an HSBC Premier with the MC (which is free), but if they'll give me an extra 3X rewards at no cost then it seems daft not to. But I'm not sure I want to have to go through a regular hassle of looking out for a charge and calling to reverse it. Is it by any chance automatically waived for HSBC Premier?

Sorry, misread, I'm only a HSBC Premier sub (no).

I wonder can you get it waived/reversed by message to HSBC personal banking though. That's the easier way to get waivers.

Yes, just send them a message through HSBC online banking. I'm HSBC Premier and have now got the fee reversed that way four times (I now have 3 supplementary cards on my Visa Signature). But they won't do it automatically. And my experience was that each time I had to wait until after the annual fee was billed, and then message them to get it reversed.

Just managed to look into my account statement. Activity Date by Citibank to Crediting Date was exactly 3 months. So, as an example, card renewal was May, activity date on statement was June 30, credit date was Sept 30th. Guess they do a sweep at the end of the month, but not sure why it takes so long to credit.

It does not look like there will be another Asia Miles conversion bonus at the end of this year like there was last year, does it? I have a good amount of RC sitting in my HSBC account waiting to be converted at a nice bonus rate
