2015 POUG rate tracker
Please add your own successful results to the follow list including the month/year when the POUG was offered to you.
POUGs are offered via BA.com and the App Manage My Booking via a distinctive banner. You cannot get a POUG by telephoning, however the service centres can complete a POUG which falls over mid transaction. They are offered on cash and Avios redemptions but typically not on complex routings, BA Holidays or travel agency bookings until OLCI stage. POUGs on Avios redemptions won't get you additional TPs/Avios, but they will on revenue tickets.

Short haul routes from LON to/from Europe
A price in pounds indicates a ticket issued from London, other currencies indicate prices for tickets issued overseas (e.g. singles or returns originating from CDG priced in Euros). Ah, my bad memory. I thought someone here had remarked that they had seen CE HBO fares offered. But now I think about it, I've never seen that option available when booking short-haul.

LCY-GVA on 13 Feb, I was offered a POUG yesterday at £79. (My inbound is GVA-LHR, no offer there.)

This morning the offer had gone. Out of curiosity, I checked the UuM price: £45. Grabbed.

Please add to wiki if possible.

POUG on booking with different sectors

I booked LHR-DUB and AMS-LHR on the same ticket. are my chances of being offered POUG on such a booking less? When I click on "Upgrade my class of travel with money", it asks me to contact the service centre.

I think it is unlikely you would be offered a POUG if this is a more complex ticket. It would show up very clearly if it was offered to you, including a mention in that Upgrade line you mentioned. You could still get an AUP possibly. That message, incidentally, is typical of a travel agent or company booked ticket, which would also preclude a POUG until Online Check In.

And I shall add my welcome to you c2u4ze2im for joining us on Flyertalk, and indeed joining the BA Forum too. Welcome, and now that you are free of lurker status I hope that we will continue to see plenty more of you. Thanks also for the data point, I'm sure that some other users of this forum will find it useful. Welcome on board.

First POUG Ever!!

LHR-RTM: Offered £65 at OLCI (on iPhone) today. Accepted - absolutely thrilled because it gets me the missing TPs for Bronze, with 3 weeks left in my membership year...

Now what I am wondering is, why now after 20 sectors with none this year? Luck, or does the system know I am close to a goal and make the offer on that basis (probably giving the software too much credit there!). Or even - I know I am being silly here - was it because I was checking the costs of a full revenue CE ticket on the app?

On a related note, anyone visited the international lounge in T1 recently?

Oh - and added to wiki

Excuse the poor image, was in a rush at the time.
You took it, right?

Noticed today a few POUG offers on my upcoming flights to and from LAX throughout the rest of the year.

ALL WTP -> CW

LAX-LHR USD950 March 15
LHR-LAX GBP480 Sept 15
LAX-LHR GBP599 Dec 15

Interestingly the system offers POUG for both legs of one booking but when trying to commit to buy both throws an error: Sorry, we are unable to process your request. Please contact your booking agent. (They were all booked direct with BA on ba.com)

@:-) If BA have so much availability in J that they can offer POUG on 3/4 of my upcoming bookings then perhaps they could consider a little goodwill gesture in opening up the odd J reward seat on this route at some point(!)

LHR-BUD offered for £120 (on HBO fare, if that's relevant) - outbound only upgrade offer so far, nothing on the return.

Flight isn't until late May so offer may change. Haven't accepted

Another one to report, ridiculous: LHR - WAW - LHR - £110 per flight from ticket with baggage to CE. Original price when booking: £90 for ET and £164/171 for CE. Was hoping that online upgrade will be cheaper. Last year it was about £50 for upgrade.

My husband is not happy that he will have to fly ET ;-)

Please add to Wiki, still not enough posts.
