2015 POUG rate tracker
Please add your own successful results to the follow list including the month/year when the POUG was offered to you.
POUGs are offered via BA.com and the App Manage My Booking via a distinctive banner. You cannot get a POUG by telephoning, however the service centres can complete a POUG which falls over mid transaction. They are offered on cash and Avios redemptions but typically not on complex routings, BA Holidays or travel agency bookings until OLCI stage. POUGs on Avios redemptions won't get you additional TPs/Avios, but they will on revenue tickets.
Short haul routes from LON to/from Europe
A price in pounds indicates a ticket issued from London, other currencies indicate prices for tickets issued overseas (e.g. singles or returns originating from CDG priced in Euros). Multiple prices indicate a range of fares are on offer. Note that LCY prices currently seem to be on a different basis to LGW and LHR (cheaper, in other words).
Long haul routes from LON to North America
(price shown from lower cabin to mentioned cabin, e.g. WTP means price to POUG from WT to WTP):

For a booking in June, BCN is £130 to CE each way
"Stretch out and enjoy more legroom and a wider seat. Enjoy a traditional English afternoon tea."
Mmm, tempting! £130 for afternooon tea.
£170 LHR-FCO in March
No offer for FLR-LCY in March
No offer for LHR-BIO-LHR in March, although possibly because the route has yet to launch
No offer for LHR-TLS-LHR in April
Small sample size, but prices seem a lot higher than in the past.

Got offered £147 for WTP from LHR to JFK and £168 for the return leg.
Only paid £500 for the original flights and WTP showing as over £2k for the return journey so seems like a good deal. Hoping it offers CW on the way back for the same sort of price so I can get some sleep.

Just been offered £130 for LHR-BCN in Feb. Almost as good value as the £120 recently offered for TXL-LHR...

Are these offered even when a travel agent books? I logged into MMB and wanted to check current (standard) rates for upgrade. But the upgrade option asks me to contact my travel agent (AmEx, in this case). So does BA offer POUG even when ticketed by travel agents?

Generally BA does not offer POUGs on travel agent and corporate bookings, because the ticket is controlled by the agency rather than the airline. The exception would be in the final 24 hours, at OLCI stage basically, when the ticket falls under airport control. You may, occasionally, be offered a POUG at that point, if the booking is a single or straightforward there and back ticket.

Not sure if allowed to ask questions on this thread, so apologies if this is the wrong place.
Have LHR/AMS booked on 25/1. Only booked earlier in week so POUG wont show for 48 hours. All my otherbookings have multiple legs so cannot POUG these. How will I find if I can POUG? Looking in manage my booking and can see the upgrade tab for money, and from reading the thread I understand that this is not a POUG but just a standard upgrade. Hopefully I will be offered a POUG but just want to know what to look out for.

Hello Mr Xxx. Upgrade to Club Europe
Only £xxx per person when you upgrade to Club Europe.
This is a limited special offer, available to book now.
--------------
It also usually appears in the banner on the right with the heading "Just Booked?" which contains links to hotels, parking etc.
POUG prices to/from LGW/LHR seem to have gone up quite a bit recently, so don't expect a bargain, but you never know.

Forgive me if I've missed a glaringly obvious post, but a quick search yielded no fruit. I am flying EDI-LHR-IAD in April with my family. We are are two separate record locators because my wife and kids are traveling on my miles (AA) and I am on a revenue ticket. With specific regard to upgrading from WT to WTP:
1. Is this ever offered on non-rev tickets (assuming we don't count the extortionate co-pays on award tickets as revenue).
2. When I click on "upgrade with money," both their record locator and mine say "Sorry, it is not possible to change this booking on ba.com. Please contact your booking/travel agent."
I'm an AA EXP but this is my first foray onto BA in many years. Thanks.

Well, booked the flights on Friday at 17.04, just checked now (Sunday at 17.15) and is showing POUG for £90 from LHR/AMS.So, almost exactly 48 hours from booking.
Now I need to decide if I should go for it. Is looking quite full in CE, although suppose they will just move the curtain if they can make more money.
