Not surprising. Every service industry job is suffering with shortages. Too many non service jobs are paying similar pay. I think it's a smart move to keep the flagship lounge fully staffed and keep quality high when faced with labor shortage. AA should throw some miles peoples way for the closure in F but keeping flagship lounge open is greater priority and they need to keep it well staffed

Was MIA definitely closed during their normal hours, or did they mean they didn’t have it open outside the afternoon/evening hours due to staffing issues?
I’ll report back when I’m at MIA soon.

It’s very frustrating when bad information is shared on FT. We would have arrived early to use a CK pass but spent more time at the beach thinking FFD was closed. It’s been wide open since 1pm today, as usual, per the agents here.
I suppose Miami Beach is better than FFD lol, but for anyone posting in the future, please be careful what you’re posting. It was most certainly not closed at 2 PM any day this week per the staff here.

ORD
I popped into Flagship check in yesterday at ORD to ask the agent about any updates for ORD flagship lounge. She indicated that end of February (is the current plan). Take it for what its worth but figured I would share.

Awesome pics. Hard to beat the burger/fries for the decadence of that entree, but try the Korean BBQ Skirt Steak next visit.
Any chance you checked the temperature of the hot water at the showers in the Flagship Lounge?

JFK Dining
At JFK dining now. Fully stocked (no JWB but it isn’t on the menu now either). Servers indicating that new menu is coming out next week. I know AA pushes the “famous” chefs for flagship but the staff indicated that the local chef (i.e. the person who cooks everyday) is designing the menu.
Also, Andy Cohen just rolled through — order Diet Coke and the chicken (still recovering from New Years). Sat in the “bar area” and went on a loud zoom call for 45 minutes. Mostly rambling about tomorrow’s capital anniversary. PLEASE NO POLITICAL RESPONSES TO THIS POST
