For discussion about the lack of a Flagship Lounge at DFW, see Why is there no Flagship Lounge / FL at DFW? (consolidated)
Background: The DFW international terminal was previously Terminal A. The A Admirals Club offered both an Arrivals Lounge and a Flagship Lounge. These were closed after 11 September 2001; when the decision to make terminal D the c new in terminal, AA chose to build an expanded Admirals Club and omit both Flagship and Arrivals lounges. There is an AMEX Centurion lounge, and there are The Lounge at DFW and several contract lounges serving several airlines' passengers.
At DFW-A, the old Flagship Lounge still exists and is used for an occasional function or NR passenger; the old Arrivals Lounge is still there, and though no longer in service it's showers -arguably the most spacious and luxurious in the AA system - and small gym remain for knowing passenger's or member's use. Look for these facilities on your immediate left (FL) and right (AL) as you exit the elevators on the second (Club) floor.

New Cathay Pacific First JFK arrival data point.
Was denied FFD this morning at JFK. Arrived YVR-JFK in Cathay First, then separate paid J to LHR on AA. Dragon kept making up excuses when I wasn't buying it. The whopper of the day was "you only get one lounge and since you used the Cathay Lounge in Vancouver, you can't use FFD here". I finally gave up and just hit the showers in the FL.

Here's one. Flying JFK-(AA)-xBOS-(CX)-HKG on AA and CX First.
I get access to Flagship 'cause Emerald.
My query is would I have access to FFD at JFK by way of the CX First BOS to HKG?

That's an interesting question. I would say technically yes but it's more likely to be at the discretion of the dragon and her interpretation of the CX/AA deal and rules. Hopefully, you don't get the same one that I encountered. If the dragon nearest the FL says no, I would ask her to check with one of her other colleagues at the entrance which is what I should have done last week.

This probably doesn't contribute a huge number to the daily total, but keep in mind that anyone arriving in F and connecting also has access, as well as anyone originating in MIA and connecting to F at another hub.

Here's an interesting scenario (asking for a friend).
Same-day transcon itin: LAX-JFK (J) and JFK-LAX (F).
Would FFD access be granted at LAX prior to the first flight based on the same-day F return?

I don't see why not. Easy if it is the same ticket. Just need to show the return at check-in if it is two tickets.

Dining access in MIA?
Have an upcoming itinerary that is MIA-JFK-LAX, with the MIA-JFK flight in two-class F and the JFK-LAX flight in 3-class F. My question is whether I'll be allowed FD access in MIA before my flight to JFK. From the rules I've read online, it sounds like I have access since I have a same-day flight in 3-class transcon F. However, I've had trouble getting access to lounges in cities outside of JFK/LAX with a J/F-class transcon ticket before.
Anyone done this before? Should I expect any grief in MIA, and if so, what should I do?

I failed with the same itinerary, although the MIA-JFK leg was in Y on a separate PNR. The manager at MIA was quite unsympathetic. AA’s Twitter team later responded that the separate PNR was the problem, but I think MIA would have refused admission regardless. It was around 2 pm, when the lounge opened, and I would probably have been the only guest. That was almost a year ago, so things could have changed.

I was granted access to the MIA Flagship Lounge, but not FFD. Was told I qualified for FFD only out of the airport preceding the 3-class F flight.

Does anyone know at what time they switch from a breakfast oriented menu to a lunch/all-day oriented menu @ JFK in First Class Dining?
