For discussion about the lack of a Flagship Lounge at DFW, see Why is there no Flagship Lounge / FL at DFW? (consolidated)
Background: The DFW international terminal was previously Terminal A. The A Admirals Club offered both an Arrivals Lounge and a Flagship Lounge. These were closed after 11 September 2001; when the decision to make terminal D the c new in terminal, AA chose to build an expanded Admirals Club and omit both Flagship and Arrivals lounges. There is an AMEX Centurion lounge, and there are The Lounge at DFW and several contract lounges serving several airlines' passengers.
At DFW-A, the old Flagship Lounge still exists and is used for an occasional function or NR passenger; the old Arrivals Lounge is still there, and though no longer in service it's showers -arguably the most spacious and luxurious in the AA system - and small gym remain for knowing passenger's or member's use. Look for these facilities on your immediate left (FL) and right (AL) as you exit the elevators on the second (Club) floor.

I flew F out of JFK earlier this week to SFO and stopped into Flagship Dining beforehand that morning. I wasn't feeling like eggs or sweets and so I went with Artisanal Meat and Cheese Platter, which the menu described as "locally sourced Soppressata, chorizo, mortadella, prosciutto and local cheeses." What I received instead was mortadella and lame deli ham and turkey breast. Wow, what a joke!
When I exited the dining room and walked by the buffet in the lounge I saw exactly what I expected to see: the same three meats they gave me in the dining room were on the breakfast buffet in the lounge. Pics of the dining room menu and the "Artisanal" platter I received there - along with a pic of the same meats on display in lounge buffet - are below.
Another reason to stick to J instead of F when flying out of JFK in the morning!

Agree that the best FFD experience is after breakfast. But there are plenty of other options on the menu. I'd also cut AA some slack this week as they are in the process of switching food service providers. HMS replaced Sodexo on Tuesday and as a few of us can attest from last week, Sodexo stopped ordering restocks leaving some of the menu items simply not available.
True about switching food service providers, but for me the way to handle that issue in the dining room is for the server to tell guests that the charcuterie and cheese plate isn't currently available. That way I could have selected something else instead of wasting the time I had waiting for the joke of a platter they served. Just my two cents.

Flagship First Dining for breakfast this morning at LAX was excellent. Only 3 of us in the dining room and the service and food was wonderful. The dining room is an oasis of calm when compared to the rest of the flagship lounge in the morning.

I've read elsewhere that someone emailed AA's applicable VP to ask about tipping in FFD, and received a reply from the VP saying tips were not customary, so perhaps this line was added as a result of the VP being made aware of confusion over the issue?

Flagship Lounge JFK in the early evening today is not super crowded as several flights have left but still has children running around the lounge and seems more chaotic than LAX even though it is not as crowded. JFK Flagship First Dining menu today; only 1 appetizer and 1 entree are unavailable in the evening.
Switchover is supposed to occur on Tuesday.
Wine list.

I am flying HKG - DFW - MEX in First (business on the DFW-MEX leg as 2-cabin flight). HKG flight lands at 4:15pm and my MEX flight does not leave until the next morning (8:55am). Assuming that FFD is open at DFW on 5/27, will I have access before my MEX flight the next day? If not, will I be able to use my MEX boarding pass to get thru security to try FFD for dinner the night I land?
On the website it says:
*Departing flight must be marketed and operated by American on the same day (or before 6 a.m. the following day). Customers traveling on airline industry non-revenue tickets are not eligible for access.
That is a bit confusing because mentions the departing flight but not the arriving flight.
Thanks!

2. You will not have access if it is. Your flight to MEX does not depart on the same day as your HKG-DFW in F, and does not leave before 0600.

If OP changed to HKG-LAX-DFW-MEX, he could do LAX FFD before connecting to DFW. And if he arrived DFW after midnight, that might get him DFW FFD access, if by a miracle it was open.

Aside from AA metal, does CX F have access to JFK's Flagship dining? Or, is it basically any OW F to HKG (Asia region 2)?
Thanks!
Thanks!
