For discussion about the lack of a Flagship Lounge at DFW, see Why is there no Flagship Lounge / FL at DFW? (consolidated)
Background: The DFW international terminal was previously Terminal A. The A Admirals Club offered both an Arrivals Lounge and a Flagship Lounge. These were closed after 11 September 2001; when the decision to make terminal D the c new in terminal, AA chose to build an expanded Admirals Club and omit both Flagship and Arrivals lounges. There is an AMEX Centurion lounge, and there are The Lounge at DFW and several contract lounges serving several airlines' passengers.
At DFW-A, the old Flagship Lounge still exists and is used for an occasional function or NR passenger; the old Arrivals Lounge is still there, and though no longer in service it's showers -arguably the most spacious and luxurious in the AA system - and small gym remain for knowing passenger's or member's use. Look for these facilities on your immediate left (FL) and right (AL) as you exit the elevators on the second (Club) floor.

Absolutely. The catering on-board will very rarely be better than the Flagship Lounge Dining experience. Just make sure to allow sufficient time to enjoy it!

There is also the AA IFL (formerly flagship which is decent) and lovely new Qantas lounge in addition to the regular BA Galleries First. So T3 gives you lots of options that are only a few minutes walk from one another. Again, miles ahead of CCR ...miles!

Forgive me if this isn't the BEST place to ask, but I'm curious considering I haven't used transcon 3 class or flagship lounges in the past.
I'm flying BOS->JFK->LAX->LAS in F in October (including F on the three class cabin JFK->LAX). The JFK->LAX segment leaves at 5pm. I have several hours of layover in JFK and in LAX. Obviously, three meals in 8 hours is a bit much, but I'd like to experience the best of the product, as I rarely fly ex JFK or LAX. Would you recommend FFD in JFK + the cabin meal service, FFD in JFK + FFD in LAX, or skip FFD entirely in favor of the cabin service?

Hi - I'm flying flagship first on AA transcon JFK to LAX with connection to San Diego on AA (separate booking though). Will I have access to LAX flagship first dining upon arrival whilst in transit? I asked AA directly and they said no, but reports here seem to suggest it may be worth trying it to ask for access and they may grant it?

When you go upstairs, show them the card, and they usually escort you down the hall to the dining room entrance.

Yes, and this is one of the few things that the AA computers are "good at" -- even if you hand the agent your LAX-DFW boarding pass, it should alert the agent to give you the invite for Flagship F Dining (and if it doesn't, the DFW-LHR BP certainly will).

Great that’s what’s tipping the scales for me to want to use an upgrade and go into F. I have read may reviews and doesn’t seem very impressive especially if you already have 3J (best seat on the plane in my opinion)

Hi, would there be access to FFD if flying HKG-JFK in CX F, then connecting to JFK-YYZ in Delta? Would it make a difference if connecting to AA instead of Delta?

Per oneworld rules in order to get lounge access on arrival you must have an onward flight on a oneworld carrier. So this is a no-go if you're next flight is on DL, no problem if it's AA.

I've been granted access to FFD after arriving in CX First from YVR. Granted I was flying JFK-YUL on a separate ticket, but I specifically recall not mentioning that to the AC/FL AAngel. I just said I arrived in Cathay First and wanted to freshen up before going into the city. Having said that, I would recommend buying JFK-YYZ on AA not DL. I'd rather stay in T8 and leaving the FL 30 minutes before departure instead of at least 75 minutes before departure to exit T8, take the train to T2 or T4 and re-clear security again.

OneWorld rules don't apply here since CX has a "special arrangement" with AA for their F pax to use FFD at JFK.
