Really good FA even left a placemat for my after-dinner drinks

Salad with creamy dill dressing.

The Green Thai Curried Shrimp... "An American Classics Item" ???
Was good but barely Thai as someone forgot the curry.

Same bird as the inbound. Apparently, no one at JFK knows how to fix a lav in three hours.

She should bring her own food, as there will be nothing more than this. Stop at Sammy's Pizza or the Grab and Go kiosk at the end of the terminal before heading to the Eagle's Nest. There is a food vendor there, but it may not have much to pick from at 6:00pm.
I have had the BBQ platter, and surprisingly it is quite tasty as long as you use the BBQ sauce with it. I have had it on a EWR-ORD route ...

AA2270 DFW-DCA F Nov 2013

AA2270 DFW-DCA F November 2013

Dinner

Pumpkin pasta or chicken. Dessert was cookies (instead of a small slice of cake - which is usually what's offered on this route). Brand new FA - she said this was her first time working in F and was quite nervous (even spilled a tray of drinks in the aisle). Service was very slow (took well over an hour to deliver drinks and the service wasn't completed until the beginning of our descent) - but the FA was hardworking, genuine and had a great personality (you could tell how happy she was with her new job and how much she wanted to provide great service to the F cabin). ^

I had the same menu on AA 236 (SEA-JFK) last Sunday. Entrees served with fruit, and a choice of a bagel or biscuit served with butter, strawberry preserves, or honey.

Overall, it was a decent airline breakfast. The entree was a little bland, but a dash or two the salt and pepper mitigated some of the shortcoming. Fruit was ripe, and the biscuit delicious. Service was very attentive on this flight.

Nice to see AA still believes in actually filling stomachs. Thats a larger lunch salad than one would get on a United flight from SFO to MSP. Sad. (Let alone a UX flight).

Small world indeed. I was in 6E. I'm glad I decided to burn a stray SWU while space was available.

fwiw, a poster in the US meals thread (believe they're an FA) is reporting that the US meal windows are going to mirror AA. Looks like the days of no meals on flights under 3.5 hours are going away.

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/us-ai...l#post21839186

Hopefully this is a trend we'll see throughout the rest of the process, and many of the meals that we have posted above will not disappear..
