Same. I have WN, AS and DL as choices. AS is already charging elite tax if you want an upgrade on a cheap fare. If the mileage program becomes irrelevant then it’s time to just use credit card points for the fun trips in international J and F.

Also, from my experience buying points through AS is relatively fast to post and I’ve never had a time when I wanted to redeem a premium award for it to go away while waiting for points to post. YMMV.

I've been used to YSBMH for sooo long. Yes, extra letters emerged once in a while. But to redo everything... that's history.

Sorry for the delayed response; I don't read the forums that often.
To be truthful, I don't particuarly like any of the alliances. For my own purposes what they've usually meant is that my airline is no longer flying a given route and I'd have to put up with the lesser treatment afforded members of other airlines' plans. In other words, a Mileage Plus member who now gets to fly Lufthansa because of a marketing arrangement doesn't get the same benefits as a member of whatever Lufthansa's program is called at the time. Quite honestly, the only benefit I've ever had from one of the three alliances was when I could fly BD ORD-MAN instead of having to take UA to LHR.
Ranking the alliances is somewhat akin to ranking cable service providers, but for my personal use they would be Star Alliance, then SkyTeam, then OneWorld. I acknolwedge that for others the alliances are better or worse fits for different reasons, but OneWorld has never been the superior choice for any routes I would fly.

No more R fare code
I don't think I have purchased anything but R fares on all of my AS travels over the years.
