Change to Fare Classes and Class of Service Bonuses (3/31/21)
For travel on or after March 31, 2021 some fare classes and bonus levels will change. On February 23, 2021 we will share the new chart, and begin converting tickets. Flights booked in "F" class will convert to "J" and receive a 100% bonus; flights booked in "P" class will convert to "D" and receive a 50% bonus; and flights booked in "I" class will receive a 50% bonus.
Pointed out by meej in another thread, but I think it's worthy of it's own.

That's what I want to know. The 75% COS bonus was enough for me to use the 30% MVP discount code to book an April flight on an I fare. It's a route with an almost guaranteed upgrade, so the little difference of only earning a 50% bonus vs 75% would have pushed me to buy a Y ticket.

and begin converting tickets
If this is for new travel booked after 3/30, I would imagine the fare class would be correctly issued. Someone could test this out by making a dummy booking and observing the fare class I suppose. I could also see AS' IT just waiting until 3/31 and then changing all tickets (prior and newly purchased).
Nonetheless, if we don't get to keep our 75% CoS bonus for previously purchased I fares, I will be disappointed.

changing COS bonuses on already purchased tickets would be a seriously customer-unfriendly move

Harmonising with AA and OW.
OW have RTW fares AONE*(first), DONE*(business) and LONE*(economy). On AA domestic routes DONE* booked into first class.
Some time ago AA fares class letters on 2 class aircraft was changed FA-->DJ. So USA domestic first earned at "business" class rate to other OW ffp's. Most USA domestic (old) "first" class is more like international Business class, or even better airlines premium economy. Made a difference to non USA OW ffp's but not AA as effective earnings stayed the same.

just read the page on AS site. indicates all flights after 3/31 will convert to new class of service bonus chart.
Full F will be 100%, P and I will be 50%.
I agree, not very customer friendly....and I am not happy about this decision.
