LAX was turning away Priority Pass customers at 3:30p today/16th. Lounge was 80% full during the hour I was there.
I took one stranded soul in as my guest

At the end of the day, can most of the signs being out just be attributed to lazy Alaska lounge staff? Honestly, I’d hate being a lounge attendant who had to get up every 30 minutes and lug the sign in and out continuously throughout the day.

Pdx today at 8:25, no sign out and I got in. Lounge maybe 85%+ full, only a couple seats. Only stayed for enough time to eat two pancakes and some juice to hold me over until I land in SEA and can go snack on something at Pikes Place while I wander around the city.
Probably could have hung out a few minutes longer since as soon as I got to gate A4 (I’m NEVER out of C gates >.< ) the boarding time go bumped back by ten minutes...

Right? Exactly what I was thinking. At this point, unless they have a secret plan for this to end, they should invest in some type of digital signage.

SEA C lounge had the sign out when I went by at about 10:20p, I went up and asked anyway since my flight boards at 10:50p and I would only be in there for about 20 minutes. Of course no dice, AND they changed their hours on the other two lounges so they’re closed... WestCoast most? I suspect the hour change on the other locations will mean the PP sign will be out almost all the time on SEA C. Build extra capacity, then immediately reduce the hours on your other locations and cause a capacity issue, at least that’s the excuse they use for no PP, capacity.
Also, I could see at least 3 or 4 seats just from the front desk area that were empty.
Who do I complain to? AS or is there a PP contact?
Knew I was making a mistake not booking Delta on this route so I could use the SkyClub with the Amex Platinum, certainly next time.

I just fill out the Alaska Listens form and give the lounge experience one star and a comment that the sign is virtually always out now....for PP send them a detailed Tweet....they actually do seem to want to know when and where the sign was out so they may be tracking it.

How often can you use the priority pass lounge? Stuck in the lovely land of PDX for 5 hours. Already visited the spirits place and capers on two different priority pass cards. I thought it was every two hours that you could use the card. Can anyone confirm?

They shouldn't be shuttering their lounge at 10:30 PM... it should be open later.

Unfortunately the Amex Centurion Lounge closes at 10:00pm and they shut their bar at 9:30pm. With the level of redeye flights we have at Seatac Amex should stay open until at least 11:30pm. Please send Amex Feedback. I will figure out to whom/where to send it and post.

Centurion lounge was going to be my first stop until I realized I wasn't going to make it to SEA early enough even to duck in there for 10 minute or so before they closed. It's killer that they close so "early" when the airport, especially Alaska, is still going strong. I'm almost always on a 11pm or later flight...
Then to see AS create their own capacity issues by closing both lounges early is just killer. I would think if they noticed C getting packed enough that they were worried they would have to turn away members then they would open up D again (maybe not N depending on the number of flights)... but I suspect they actually are happy to turn away people, since they will be PP people, and if members get a crappy packed experience at 10:30 or 11pm then they'll blame it on PP members and be more aggressive... while hundreds or thousands of square feet of lounge space just a little ways away sits empty...
(PDX is something totally different, while it sucks AS has to be so aggressive there, even when it looks empty, they just physically have a horrible space and can't seem to do much about it in the short term, but SEA is a whole new game being done at the management level, not the port or airport level outside of AS's control)
