I am not surprised.
To be honest, even if I love Air France La Première product, I consider that the lounge is such an important part of the experience that I prefer to delay further reservations in P until services are back to normal (or close to).

Ergonomically/functionally I prefer the LX seat. Especially for its way larger table, storage possibilities. And I prefer the semi-open suite to the AF curtains.

Aesthetically, AF is much nicer.

To me AF P looks identical (seat) to QR F) with curtains only. Can this be true?

They do look very similar - I've never flown QR F (only the now outdated business on the A350). I think AF is a little more elegant - what's more with AF you get four windows and the photos of QR all show three, but that may not be an indicator of seat/suite size.

Many airlines have somewhat-similar 1x2x1 F seats on their 77W. This forward-facing seat (no angle) has become the standard. Most of them have 2 rows of seats, which makes the cabin less claustrophobic. All offer more privacy rather than the curtain.. Some are wider. Some have much bigger TV screens, which is very useful as the screen is quite far.
AF design is elegant, but I do not see how the seat would be rate as "exceptional"
LP lounge is indeed outstanding.

My preference is for CX F. It is 1x1x1, with an angle. Very wide except at feet and my ideal level of privacy.

What will happen with F in the future is an open question.

To those addicted as well, with some proper Google Flights tweaking, I now easily get a list of F flights with AF. In May, I found the following destinations:

Tokyo
Los Angeles
Hong Kong
Miami
Mexico City
New York
Chicago
Johannesburg

Of which Mexico City, Tokyo, Johannesburg and Hong Kong are the most affordable ones <7000 CHF / < 7500 USD return for a direct flight, return. Likely cheaper if you add a few stops before or to buy for a nice tariff in business and go for the upgrade.

Of these, IAD is consistently the cheapest with $5K roundtrips ex-BUD.

I managed last year to do several BCN - CDG - MEX for 4,6 k€.

But the tickets need to be bought at least 60 days before flying with a minimum of 6 nights there

PVG (via ICN) is also open. Sad that they don't have P for Seoul despite the stopover...
