Although I am flying from SFO

UA, if it must go to SYD, send it from LAXitive!

Well after 2+ weeks of flying transpac flights, N194UA looks like it may actually go back to domestic service...at least tomorrow. It's currently on it's way from PVG-SFO where it will RON then head do SFO-ORD-SFO tomorrow.

(I'm on UA973 tomorrow and would really like my upgrade to clear!)

Well let's see if I or you are going to clear first.

Right now I am at the door 4L exit row.

Btw, I will be waiting in RCC by C16.

Well...united cargo is now showing a "47C" so we all may wind up in economy (hopefully E+). Should be interesting to see what happens with the seats.

I'll keep an eye out for you in the RCC.

If not E+ put me in 45 exit. Just hope they don't transfer 46 exit to 46 in "47C".

UAL Cargo is still showing 747 for Monday's UA 973 but tomorrow and Sunday are now showing 47C. I hope I don't lose my UD window seat if they swap the new config!

Anyone know if it flew out today? Last I've seen, it arrived this (Friday) morning from PVG. Can't seem to figure out where it's headed next.

Perhaps it's staying on the ground tonight for a scheduled maintenance check, then out to ICN or NRT Saturday, returning Sunday? That would explain the subs for 973/664 through Sunday.

Paging someone from the fleet tracking thread!

Well, FWIW, N107UA is back in service (was in PEK for maintenance from Sept 8 until Oct 8; back on 888 today, turned to 893), and so is N199UA, which was in the shop at SFO -- out on 869 today.

So, the pressure is a little less than it was -- until the next ones come due.

Interesting...this provides the context behind the persistent use of N194UA on transpac routes over the past few weeks...and its absence of activity today. Thank you!

Come back home to 664/973, my sturdy-winged, UDU-bearing friend...

Also looks like N194UA will be on 664 on 10/11, judging by the seat map anyway.

I'm on 973 on 10/11 and the seatmap still shows old config.

AS expected, lost my 46 exit window to a 46 E- on "47C" on today's flight. (10/9) And no more window or aisle in E+ or exit available on the "47C".

N118UA is operating the 664/973 rotation today (Saturday October 9). I think N194UA may be being kept out in SFO this weekend for fleet week related activities.

I'm on the same 973 flight on Monday and I'm also following which A/C it may be... Never flew on a 747 yet, looking forward to the experience.

Last time I was on that flight, it was swapped for the 777 and resulted in my volunteering for the extra flight later and a voucher. Not a bad deal, still. :-)

Now I still have to figure out the best seat strategy based on what the flight is, what it could be and what it will finally be...
